Hotel MOLA Galata

Absolutely amazing and so helpful.. The staff are spectacular people.. The owner is amazing and so accessible and accommodating. Truly a special experience.. The best feeling was the view in the room.. just breathtaking.

The good: close to vibrant neighborhoods and attractions; nice common areas; laundry service available; cleanliness was decent, elevator access.

The bad: Location in dark side alley; rooms not soundproof at all (can hear everything in the hallways); comfort room was very tiny; bed mattress quite soft; thick layer of dust bunnies under the bed; fridge wasn’t cold.

WiFi not good for work calls. But otherwise a great place. 10 minute walk to rail, shopping, dining and nightlife. Balcony had a wonderful view overlooking the city. Great vibes with the staff, lobby sounds as a coffee shop and it was always a good conversation with interesting people. Room was spacious, they provided everything you could need. Only complaint was the toilet/bathroom smelled a little - smelled like sewer water although everything was clean.

Personal ist super lieb .

Einzige "nachteil" wäre : die strecken gehen manchmal sehr steil hoch und runter aber das hat man überall in istanbul .

Was warmly welcomed on my arrival . A lovely fresh coffee after a long 24 hrs of travel. Friendly helpful staff that were full of local information . Beautiful array of fresh baked treats. The strawberry tart was delicious.

Great place to stay, the hotel help you finding convenient tours.

Zimmer war modern eingerichtet und sauber. Kontakt freundlich. Angenehme Nähe zu Meer/Atatürkbrücke und Galataturm. Manko: kein Platz für Koffer und wenig für Kleidung. Badezimmer ohne Fenster oder Klimaanlage. Kein Frühstück ( aber das war schon beim Buchen bekannt).

Die Unterkunft ist sehr empfehlenswert! Ausblick herrlich! An der Sauberkeit kann man noch etwas arbeiten, nach bitte wird die räumlichkeit gesäubert.
Es ist zentral, für allein reisende, man kann die gassen am Abend vermeiden und den Hauptweg nutzen. Im gesamten top und detailreich!

Abbiamo soggiornato al 5 piano del Mola Hotel, vista esageratamente bella, camera ottima negli spazi e nei servizi, peccato per una piccola infiltrazione d’acqua dal soffitto durante un acquazzone. Ovviamente non riparabile al momento ma lo staff è stato molto gentile e disponibile a trovare una soluzione. Vicino a Metro, Galata tower e a le fermate dei tram. Consigliatissimo

It simply spectacular

Hotel MOLA Galata has a personable and helpful staff that helped make my stay a pleasure. The hotel is in a safe location with access to all points of interest, via bus, metro, ferrie, taxi, and on foot. The style of the hotel is appealing and you can get coffee, tea and food in the lobby. There is also an expansive and awe inspiring view of the Golden Horn from the terrace.

A very small hotel with narrow corridors and small rooms and a small elevator that two people can barely fit

Fiyat aralığına göre iyi denilebilecek bir konaklamaydı. Temizlik fena değildi, daha iyi yapılabilir. Çarşaf ve yastık kılıfları falan temiz fakat lekeli, bu durum düzeltilebilir. Çeşitli yerlerde sivrisinekler ezilmiş olarak duruyor, onlar mutlaka temzilenmeli. Oda küçük fakat yeterli ve konforlu. Oda manzarası (4. Kat) güzel. Teras güzel. Sabah kahve/çay alıp terasda vakit geçirilebilir. Vaktinizi dışarıda geçirecekseniz eğer, ekonomik, konforlu ve yeterli bir hizmet sunuyorlar, tercih
edilebilir bir mekan.

Kleines, modern eingerichtetes Hotel, sehr sauber und gemütlich, Zimmer hell und mit Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Kaffeemaschine, Bett bequem und neuwertig, Schrank sehr klein, ein Regal für Kleidung wäre gut gewesen, Fahrstuhl, Rezeption mit Getränkekauf 24/7 besetzt, Kiosk 2 Min. entfernt, das Beste ist die Dachterrasse mit gigantischem Ausblick auf Istanbul und das Goldene Horn, gute Lage, man ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß an der Bahn oder am Wasser, 10 Min. zum Galataturm oder nach Karaköy, wo Fähren, Busse und Bahnen fahren.

No thrills hotel but clean and comfortable stay close to Galata Tower, Taksim Square, Galataport and the bridge across to Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar etc

Nice hotel in the Galata area, with well decorated interior.

The location is very close to the Galata tower and cafes/restaurants. It’s easy to get around the city from the hotel, and not far from the metro stop but it is located down some quiet backstreets and if you’re travelling alone that may concern you. I didn’t have any issues but would recommend sticking to the main roads.

The rooftop terrace is a great bonus and gives great views over the Galata Bridge.

The hotel accepts cash payments only, you can’t prepay and you can’t pay using any kind of card (credit/debit/Amex). That isn’t very clearly mentioned on the listing and I only found out the night before my stay. In 2023 that is very unusual for a city centre hotel.

Wir waren als Paar für 5tage in diesem Hotel und leider muss ich mitteilen das wir mir diesem Unterkunft gar nicht zufrieden waren.
Wir mussten den Check-In selbst machen. Die Koffer wurden uns nicht reingetragen bzw. sie haben uns nichteinmal in das Zimmer eingeführt. Zudem wurden uns das Zimmer am ersten Stock direkt neben dem Lift zugeordnet was wir sehr schlecht fanden. Zudem war unser Zimmer nicht genügend sauber und sehr Kalt.
Wir haben die Klimanlage auf 30C eingestellt doch hat uns leider nicht viel geholfen weil der Boden sehr kalt war und die Heizung im Badezimmer aus war. Die Gänge wie auch der Eingang war komischerweise wärmer als unser Zimmer selbst. Wir haben dies am Personal mittgeteilt und uns wurde lustigerweise lediglich eine zusätzliche Decke angeboten. Als wir Abends wieder ins Hotel zurückkehrten mussten wir uns mit unserem Haar-Föhn wärmen weil das Zimmer eiskalt war.
Der Boden wurde nie warm.
Später nach 2-3 Tagen wurden wir auch durch die Kälte leider Krank.
Wir empfehlen es einfach niemanden dort hinzugehen (nichtmal an unsere Feinde:)

It's more like a hostel than a hotel. There is a microwave in the room which is very useful, but the mugs are cracked though still could be used. The room cleaning was quite random, new towels were replaced but the old ones were not collected. One of the clean towels was stained, probably that didn't get noticed after laundry. The free parking was a real bonus.
