Location of hotel was spectacular. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was lovely.
On all three days there wasn't hot water, it was tepid at best. There was a leak in the roof outside our room which was worrying because there were electrical wires exposed and getting wet. The cleaner left our room wide open with the hotel master key in the door after cleaning. We received an apology but even so, you don't really expect this. Although rated AA 5* hotel, in our opinion it was more like a 4* B&B It was very expensive for the size of the room and the lack of facilities in the hotel.
Location and views from window stunning
Nice staff, but overworked, but they did their best.
Tv and shower not working properly.
Service rather slow due to lack of staff, which rather spoilt our stay.
Comfortable room, clean, and quirky decor. Great location, convenient car park to rear. Lovely lounge with weird and wonderful decor, the small tables could have done with a wipe down though. Pleasant, friendly staff.
Gorgeous walks in the area, lots of nature, peace and quiet.
Breakfast - The waiter was rushed off his feet and had no help, we waited AGES then were brought the wrong meals, and before our tea had even arrived. Once it did arrive the food was fine, but nothing special.
Bar drinks were expensive, although we expected this as the restaurant is classed as 5*. (We didn't dine here so can't comment)
Great location with stunning views. Loved the quirky style decor. All rooms have their own style. Serves a great breakfast. Dog friendly.

This was an absolute gem of a hotel. It was beautiful comfortable and the staff were so welcoming and hospitable. The location in the Yorkshire Dales is incredibly beautiful and lovely hiking available nearby. The food at the restaurant on site was FANTASTIC.
The views, friendly service and excellent views
Fantastic stay the owner Sarah went above and beyond for us. Breakfast started at 0830 but we wanted to get a way early to complete our leg of the coast to coast. She prepared our breakfast for 0700 allowing us to leave early. Couyaak.for more, would highly recommend staying and the evening meal was also amazing.

Rooms are traditional yet modern. The flapjack they leave in the room is to die for. And the food in the restaurant is to die for
Very comfortable slightly quirkily decorated hotel. Very clean rooms and public areas with friendly staff. Great location to explore Reeth and the wonderful Swaledale with plenty of walks from the village. We ate one evening at the hotel which, although limited in choice, was lovely with gluten free options too. We didn't get chance to sit out on the terrace looking out over the village green that would be lovely on a warm summer's evening.
A minor point really but the gluten free 'full english' breakfast did not include sausages (which are widely available as gluten free) or black pudding (more difficult gluten free) and so were left out. It would have been nice to have an extra slice of bacon/egg/mushroom is a substitute. Having said that, we would stay again.
Breakfast was good.
Room was ridiculously hot...we turned off all radiators and tried to sleep with all windows open. The dawn chorus was very loud! Hardly slept.
Bathroom looked lovely but shower did not work properly...scalding one moment, freezing the next.
Fantastic location
Electric shower with poor water output - shower head handle split. Dressing table stool badly stained. Bedroom door would not close without slamming it shut - advised by housekeeping to do this. Breakfast omelette on 2nd day really bad - waitress said that it had stuck to pan looked like a pancake that had been broken up into pieces
Location is amazing.
Breakfast OK, but not outstanding. Not espcially hot, sausages skins were tough.
The room was lovely, comfortable with amazing view.
Shower looked good but showerhead too heavy for its support so constantly slipping down spraying wall instead of us.
Great location, lovely views. Very quiet
Evening meal was excellent - we ate off the bar menu
