Old world charm with new world amenities
Pros:

The hotel is so beautiful, my neck was on constant swivel trying to lap up the old world charm and the kind and friendly staff was truly the whipped cream and cherry and top of the multi layer of beauty and charm!

Cons:

My stay was too short! I need to return for a longer stay at the hotel!

Pros:

Das Haus hat eine sehr gute Lage, Kolonialstil. Mit dem Fahrrad die kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt wurden ist man ruckzuck überall. Zimmer sind sauber, Bad auch, leider hatten wir bei der Buchung nicht beachtet, dass das Zimmer kein Fenster hatte. Frühstück dabei, 3 Varianten zur Auswahl, passt alles.

Cons:

Leider wirklich sehr in die Jahre gekommen, es wurde parallel renvoviert, was ja gut ist - aber: Staub und Baulärm, hat uns aber nicht wirklich gestört. Was aber wirklich nicht gut war:
Wir hatten 1 Nacht gebucht und wollten verlängern. Durch einen Tippfehler bin ich mit dem Datum durcheinander gekommen und habe aus Versehen eine Woche später gebucht. Das konnte der Besitzer bzw. der Mensch an der Theke nicht ändern - ich habe dann sofort (also 10 Min. später) nochmal gebucht und das richtige Datum angegeben und vor Ort und persönlich gebeten die zweite Buchung, die ja ein Fehler/Tippfehler war zu stornieren. M.E, ist das Ermessenssache und hätte Problemlos von statten gehen können. Wurde nicht gemacht - auch nachdem ich nochmals zwei E-Mails mit der gleichen Bitte geschrieben habe - keine Reaktion-keine Änderung. Faktisch waren wir da längst an einem anderen Ort. Also haben wir 3 Nächte bezahlt, obwohl wir nur 2 da waren. Keine Kulanz, keine Kommunikation. Ja, war mein Fehler - dennoch habe ich sowas sonst noch nie erlebt. Daher war das in meinen Augen Abzocke.

Pros:

とにかく建物内の装飾が可愛く、女子はテンションがあがると思う！
次マラッカに来ることがあれば別の部屋にも泊まってみたい！
朝ごはんも美味しかったです。

Cons:

あえてあげるなら、シャワーが固定式で少し使いにくいかった。

Tolle Lage.
Pros:

Das Hotel überzeugt durch seinen besonderen historischen Charakter, der dem Aufenthalt eine einzigartige Atmosphäre verleiht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar.
Die Zimmer sind sauber und ruhig, Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Außerdem werden Frühstücksmöglichkeiten angeboten. Insgesamt eine sehr gute Wahl für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt.

One of the room was downgraded without refund or a courtesy apology from hotel.

Poor Service. Downgraded room due to leaking from the ceiling. Suite room became standard room without window. No refund , no apology , no follow up.

Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay at the Aava Malacca Hotel. The place is beautifully decorated and truly has a charming atmosphere, it feels like traveling back to the past. My room was very spacious, spotless clean and comfortable, I slept very well. Location is also great, just a few minutes to Jonker Walk and lots of shops and restaurants. Definitely recommended!

A pleasant restful stay.
Pros:

The room was larger than I had anticipated, especially the bathroom. Cleanliness was very good and the room was quiet. It has a small refrigerator and a safe. The staff were polite and helpful. Would stay again if ever come to this city again. The hotel seems to have been converted from a rich Chinese family’s home, so it has a warm nostalgia feeling.

Cons:

The breakfast menu was very limited and quality was low, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I wish the room has a small hand towel for each guest instead of just a large bath towel.
