Hotell Utsikten Geiranger - by Classic Norway Hotels

The views from the hotel were spectacular. We were there last month during the first week of September. Parking is limited. Got to the hotel and managed to find a spot but once we got back after dinner in town we had to park on the road. Pleasant staff. There was free tea and coffee in the lounge which was a lovely touch as the views from the lounge were amazing. Good breakfast. Rooms are a bit on a smaller size. Tea & coffee facilities in the room as well. We stayed one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We loved staying in this historic boutique hotel which had excellent customer service, beautiful views from many common areas including our lovely suite. The restaurant food was excellent and so was the breakfast buffet. I can’t wait to return again some day.

We arrived in Geiranger just as it was getting dark, so we didn’t realize what a view we had until the next morning—absolutely stunning! Opening the window to see the fjord was unforgettable. The hotel has a quaint, relaxing vibe, and the breakfast was hands-down the best we had on our trip. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Geiranger!

The hotel is a gem in Geiranger. It sits up high in the mountain overlooking the Geirangerfjord. The common areas on the first floor are top class. One can watch the fantastic views of the fjord from within the hotel lobby (which has ample sitting space with views. The flydalsjuvet view point is literally 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. The breakfast includes many choices to get the day started on a positive note.
The most important and positive part of the service. We felt that the reception staff and kitchen staff really goes above and beyond to take care of the hotel guests. One special mention is Margo at the reception desk. She was super helpful with all the local information and was also fun to chat with.
One minor thing about the hotel is tiny bathrooms and specifically shower stall. Even an average size person may have difficulty taking proper shower there. I understand the hotel is 100+ year old and they may have relatively recently added bathrooms for each room outside of that one concern everything is great and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The Hotel Utsikten is a wonderful smaller vintage hotel. We really liked the historic photographs that are on the walls around the building. It felt cozy there. Some of the rooms have a view of the fjord. The breakfast was good with lots of variety and options.

The hotel was in a crazy, amazing location. The views…jaw dropping. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The historic feel is very charming and we woke to the smell of breakfast being prepared. Lovely experience

Spectacular location, oversees the fjord, older property, but well maintained . Friendly staff. Only disadvantage is cannot walk to any place as it is high on the mountain but the view compensates for it. Can get busy with tour bus travellers .

Amazing Hotel in the midst of picturesque nature. Spacious rooms. And wow! there is a wonderful view even from the bathroom. Great vegetarian breakfast options.
Please do provide the ingredients 'sticky note' on all the dishes so that it helps the Vegetarians to what to choose and what not to choose. It is a historic hotel with beautiful rooms. Seating area in the lobby is very beautiful. Complimentary Coffee, Tea and WiFi are very good. Parking space is available. Friendly staff. Loved our stay. Comfortable and wonderful.

Incredible little inn right on the winding road half way down the mountain overlooking the Geirangerfjord. Free parking, great breakfast, nice restaurant, lounge area, rooms with great views, comfortable beds, and good wifi. What's not to like. Great short stay.

Breakfast is good, too much bedding, too soft bed, too expensive.
