Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food and a good selection of dishes to choose from for Breakfast and dinner. Room was clean and had a very powerful shower.
The pillows were a little ‘lumpy’
Great rural location.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Clean and comfortable room.
Evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
Very reasonable prices.
The country lanes nearby are very narrow, with plenty of pot holes!
Lovely pub, great food, great accomodation. Absolutely nothing to fault!
Absolutely nothing to fault!
Outdoor ground floor, terraced house style entrance direct to carpark was brilliant as travelling with my dog.
Very thin walls so could hear everything in adjoining room. Only one price option for breakfast.
Friendliness of staff, their willingness to help, provide local recommendations etc all faultless.
The food was delicious and exceeded expectations: from locally sourced breakfast ingredients to pub lunch which exceeded expectations. Lovely little touches like homemade biscuit served with coffee/tea orders.
Room had kettle with tea and coffee, a gorgeous large hot shower. Bed was wonderfully comfortable.
Nothing
Very helpful and friendly staff, very comfortable and clean room.
Had a Good Friday night chatting with the locals.
Had a problem with the heating in our room which couldn’t be fixed until the Monday the day after we left.
The place is run so well excellent
Great location and the food was excellent
Shower didn’t work and the heater kept clicking in and out all night
Friendly good welcome , great food & good atmosphere
Lovely staff and amazing food
Breakfast was excellent and so was the evening meal.
Rooms could do with updating.
Convenient for the wine tasting up the road that’s why we visited but this lovely hub of the village was a great stay fantastic staff , nothing too much trouble , room was lovely and the food was excellent.
It’s a beautiful building and the owners have made it a warm and welcoming place. There’s a bar area with huge real fire and a separate dining room with log burner. There’s food is of a high standard and much is locally sourced. They also have a cafe and gift shop at one end which serves drinks, sweet treats and has a fabulous selection of gifts. The rooms are spacious and adequately furnished, individual heater was helpful and the bed was super comfy. All the staff were friendly and hospitable, and Kim went out of her way for me delivering my goodies bought in the shop to my home in Northumberland. I really cannot fault this charming country pub, it ticks all the boxes and if you’re looking for a peaceful and cosy place to stay whilst exploring the area, this should suit you perfectly. Please note: it is isolated and there are limited taxis so if you need one book ahead. It was ideal for me as I was attending a memoir course at Arvon Totleigh Barton and wanted peace & quiet to write before I joined the group. Spent a very productive four nights at the Half Moon Inn.
Everything was good, no complaints
Friendly welcome, food, cleanliness and location.
As a sufferer of back pain. I found the bed very uncomfortable.
Comfortable friendly Inn. Room very nice, comfortable & en suite facilities are good.
Heating came on at 4pm so room quite cold when we arrived.
Pub where we also had dinner was cool but throws provided.
Bean stew was a disappointing as not many beans & a small scoop of mash.
Husband’s pie meal was good.
Breakfast was very good.
Would recommend but take warm indoor clothes in winter.
Rooms rather cool
Quiet location.
Room was a little cold
