Cast Away

L'hôtel porte bien son nom ! Il est perdu tout au bout de la petite île dans un havre de verdure. Je m'y suis rendue à pieds, ce qui m'a permise de voir de nombreuses cigognes (un peu bruyantes le matin mais cela fait partie du charme) et de voir la végétation luxuriante de ce petit coin de paradis.
Le bungalow est super agréable.
Les 2 salles de douches et toilettes étaient très propres
Le petit déjeuner et le dîner sont compris et je me suis régalée.

It was an amazing stay for five nights. Our host P made us so welcome and our room and terrace was perfect. P and his lovely Mum cooked us the best food I’ve had in my five weeks in Thailand. He even washed our laundry for us. We were able to use the bikes free of charge to ride around the island. We came here to get away from it all for a few days and got exactly what we needed!
I can’t recommend this place enough and will most definitely be back on our next visit.

What a wonderful place! It certainly lives up to it's name Cast Away, so quiet, tranquil and far from the hustle of the big city.
The host is super helpful and cooks up better food than you'd find in many restaurant. I requested vegan food and he did a fabulous job.

Si vous recherchez une escapade authentique, je vous recommande vivement de séjourner chez Panit, un hôte aux petits soins pour chacun de ses invités.

La maison est nichée dans un écrin de verdure, entourée de jardins agricoles. Ici, le temps semble suspendu : on profite pleinement de l’île et de la nature environnante. Les chambres sont aménagées dans de charmantes cabanes sur pilotis, ouvertes sur la végétation. La nuit, on s’endort bercé par les sons de la faune locale et les murmures de la nature.

La demi-pension est un vrai régal : chaque repas, préparé maison, vous plonge dans la richesse de la gastronomie thaïlandaise familiale. Panit met un point d’honneur à faire plaisir à ses hôtes, et cela se ressent à chaque instant du séjour.

Je reviendrai !

Super nice host. The setting was really peaceful and dinner was amazing! It was a bit far off from the Mon village, but for a quiet getaway (like the name suggests) it's almost perfect. Thanks for everything.

This a one of my favourite place in Thailand now, it’s a quiet family owned accommodation, Panit is an amazing host and I had a great stay. I was lucky to come when there was a lot of fireflies at night. The food is amazing !

Nature! The hammock as well

The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The meals were tailored to my needs and were delicious. An abundance of fruit, drinks, coffees, etc. were complimentary. The environment is rustic, natural, and great for resting and relaxing. A real taste of Thai country life and hospitality very close to the city.

Panit (the host) was exceptional. He could not have been more helpful. Good to chat to and a really good cook.
I only went to Ko Kret for the brewery, but I want to go back just for the hospitality.

Island is calm, very walkabale. The owner, Panit is an extraordinary host. Serves great home cooked dinners and very attentive to needs. Had great conversations with him.

A peaceful, relaxing place. A very friendly host. Delicious home cooking. Although close to Bangkok, if you want to get away from the busy city for a bit, this is an excellent place.

Living in the nature

We had such a wonderful stay at Cast Away. The hosts welcomed us very warmly into their space and tried to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The meals were large and delicious, and they made sure to ask about any foods we couldn’t eat. This will be my go to spot on Koh Kret!

This place is out this world, and perfect for someone who doesn't require modern luxuries but instead wants to connect with the nature and themselves. The homecooked food was maybe the best during my 3 month trip in Thailand, I was absolutely blown away by both the quality and the quantity. Hammocks for relaxing in the common outside area. Cute details scattered everywhere. Bikes available for exploring this amazing island (highly recommended!). Wonderful hospitality with the friendliest people, I will miss this place for sure.
