stay if you really want to visit this area, otherwise there are better options out there
Pros:

- gardens and surrounding areas
- mix of old and new buildings looks interesting
- Akko restaurant
- bar staff and atmosphere was nice

Cons:

- this is not really a 4 stars property… maybe 3 max
- saw visible damage/deterioration on walls in the room and on some parts of the wellness area
- breakfast had lots of options but taste wise a bit mid for many things
- not enough pillows in the room (1 per person), and overall not a very cozy feeling
- food at the bar was not very good
- we found out upon arrival that spa access is not available to all rooms (had to be paid extra) but names of rooms on booking.com are different from their website so we wouldn’t have guessed either… this makes very little sense from a hospitality perspective (they did give us 1 hour free because of the misunderstanding but only after complaining twice and then emailing)

prachtige verblijf in een fietsstreek met lekker ontbijt met prachtig interieur .

ontbijt was super lekker met ruime keuze.
mooie omgeving en ligging.
moderne inrichting.
ruime parking en fietsenstalling met laadplaats voor de batterijen van de elektrische fietsen.

Cons:

de 2de dag viel het verloop van de tafeldekking iets tegen.
personeel tijdens ontbijt niet aandachtig voor de afruimen van tafels.
kussens zijn beetje aan de zware kant toe.
frigo op kamer zou toch mogen voorzien zijn van enkele frisdranken aanvullend bij de 2 kleine flesjes water.

Sehr schönes Hotel aber nicht perfekt

Modernes Zimmer mit Klimaanlage, sehr schöne Lage und tolle Mischung aus historisch und Moderne. Schön angelegter Garten. Lade-Möglichkeiten für e Autos vorhanden.

Cons:

Die für mich in einem 4 Sterne Hotel sehr ungewöhnliche extra Gebühr für den Wellness Bereich. Das Frühstück war vielfältig aber qualitativ nicht sehr hochwertig. Das Restaurant im Hotel war Sonntags und Montags geschlossen.

Disappointing stay due to misleading communication and promises that were never fulfilled.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay. This is the second time I have experienced the same issue at a Martin's Hotel.
Before my arrival, I specifically requested a double bed. When the hotel initially said they could not guarantee it, I contacted them again and clearly explained that if a double bed was not available, I would cancel my reservation and book another hotel. The hotel then confirmed by email that my request would be accommodated.
However, when I arrived, I was given two single beds pushed together. This was exactly what I had said I did not want.
During my stay, a member of the reception team told us they would fix the bed while we were out. When we returned, absolutely nothing had changed. No solution was provided, and no follow-up was given.
My disappointment is not about the hotel's room configuration. If all rooms have two single beds joined together, that should be communicated honestly before guests arrive. My disappointment is that the hotel confirmed a request they knew they could not fulfil and then failed to resolve the situation after promising they would.
As a guest, I made my booking based on the information provided by the hotel. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling misled and with very little confidence in the service provided.
