Everything is great without any complain from my side.
I have nothing else to comment. All I can say that the property and staff, including food are great.
I liked everything in and out of the property
Even though breakfast was included, they charged for every cup of coffee saying Expedia’s commission should be paid by customers. The bill overcharged including meals not eaten. Be careful at checkout. Do not ask a hotel taxi to airport at checkout which strand you until you agree to payment at last minutes. The driver has drug, goes gas station, runs small city passages very loudly.
😐
Reasonably good value and location (round the corner from the Ethiopian centre which is the best and probably only place to get a cheap beer in Djibouti). Let me check in early without question. Wifi good. Cheap cafe, with nice juices.
Room not made up on second night. Some of the kitchen staff unable to speak French let alone English. Ran out of fruit for the nice juice.
Whit more care, this hotel could be more cozy. Anyway people at reception are friendly and location is good, in a quiet rood not so far from town ventre (5 minutes walk)
Basic 2-star hotel near the Djibouti City Center. The rooms are basic, with large bed and en-suite. Air conditioning worked well (Djibouti is incredibly hot). The main problem here is the wifi - no matter where I was in the hotel I was faced with connectivity problems and was barely able to open even one webpage during my stay. I departed after one night to find stronger wifi, as I had important business to attend to.
Breakfast was basic (omelette) but the restaurant otherwise served cheap dishes (eg. Hot chicken baguette for $4 USD, Coke for less than $1 USD).
Overall I’d recommend as long as you are not relying on their wifi connection
I don't know where all these "very good" reviews are coming from. This hotel is poor and value for the money is especially bad. There ARE better hotels in Djibouti City that are the same or lower price... I booked this one because I needed to satisfy my visa requirements and just needed something easily booked online. So we stayed here for our first night but moved to another hotel further in the city that was vastly superior AND $10/night cheaper! Do your research and avoid this place.
Don't be scared at the first glimpse of the hotel. One would think the hotel should be closed, such is the number of rooms closed for renovation. The first impression of the room is not great either. However (!!) even though rooms are very basic they are clean and, on my case, had air conditioning, which is like mandatory if you want to have a good night sleep as even the evenings are hot in Djibouti. Location is perfect, at walking distance from all things that matter. Staff is really good too.
This is a budget hotel (Djibouti is expensive), so keep that in mind. Pros: kind and friendly staff, good air conditioning, clean rooms. Cons: no curtain on the shower, intermittently slow and fast WiFi, noise from schools nearby. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation so there is more from construction as well. As a single woman traveler, there are few other women around, but I felt fine in the hotel. Area nearby is safe but you have to walk/take taxi to get to anything. Sweet milk tea for free breakfast was one of the best parts.
The hotel has value for money. It is very close to the central town, which is good for catching taxi and going for shopping. The room was hygienic and spacious. Hotel staff members were very kind.
Would stay here again.
Friendly staff. Comfortable but could use a cosmetic update.
部屋はエアコンも効き、清潔で良かったです。トイレの水圧が弱くて困りました。朝食が無料です。卵焼きもがっつり作ってくれます。
