Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that this hotel does not have a elevator. Staff can assist you with your luggage.

Cozy hotel and garden Café.
Pros:

This hotel is possibly the best place for western travellers to stay in town. Hidden in the backyard is a cozy cafe and restaurant, with a garden sitting area and an indoor AC area, which is perfect for work too, with electric sockets. There's also a separate DSA garden sitting area. The food here was so good, especially the western breakfast. I stayed in the dorm, which was basic and quite tight, but there were privacy curtains, lockers and a nice duvet. The rest of the facilities easily made up for the small dorms. The common bathrooms were spacious and spotlessly clean with hot showers. Toilet paper, soap and towel provided. It was a small balcony between the dorms. Free hot and cold water dispensers on each floor. Every single member of staff was always so friendly and welcoming. Excellent WiFi. Excellent location right in Chinatown, within walking distance from the bus station.

Cons:

It was nothing I didn't like, but if they want to attract more foreigners, they should change the WORDINGS on the payment information! It turned out to be so easy. Booking.com took security in my card and you can pay by card or with cash upon arrival. BUT....many foreigners avoid booking when it says something like this: 'Property will handle the payment. Payment must be made in full in advance. Property will let you know'. We simply avoid booking those places because many then demand a bank transfer, which for some must be booked with their bank, takes 3-5 days and is costing an arm and a leg, often more than the cost of the room!

Pros:

Positioning of aircond in the room 205 level 3 river view will make you feel warm. The aircond is not facing the room but facing the window will make guest warm. U have to lower the temperature to make the room cold.

good value for money.
Pros:

the room is clean and has all the basic function needed, plus got atari game that my son
loves to play, and water refill.
good location and can walk to nearby places.

Cons:

no lift (but its ok for us).
only 3 parking spot infront of
the hotel, the rest park at the back / at tanah lapang nearby (make sure you pay the parking fees 60cent/hour from 8-6pm sat-thursday).
