Fantastic relaxing holiday in a great hotel
Pros:

The room was lovely and spacious, very clean and comfortable but also keeping the feel of the original building, we were welcomed and made to feel welcome throughout our stay. Excellent location just a short walk to Sidmouth seafront and shopping area.

Pros:

The room had been freshly renovated and the hotel was very well run.

Cons:

We were allocated a room at the back with no view of the garden, which always seems to happen to us when booking through booking.com

received a very warm welcome when we arrived
the bedrooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. dining room was lovely bright clean and spacious.
plenty of choice for breakfast and the service was efficient and attentive.
would highly recommend.

Absolutely delightful
Pros:

The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful. The room was adequate. The hotel was beautiful inside and outside. The nearness to the shops and sea were great.

Cons:

Due to the hot weather and having booked a dog friendly room, a mini fridge in the room would have been good. I had to leave the dog food in the hotel fridge, which meant going to reception twice a day to ask for it. The ice bucket in the bar was usually empty, except in the evening and it all went quick.

Lovely hotel will be back again!
Pros:

Location is great near town and the beach and convenient to use the car to explore out and about. The property has a lovely patio/garden and a conservatory too.

Cons:

Nothing negative to add, all positives in our opinion. So much so we have been going back to this hotel many years.
