Great value for money.
Pros:

Central location in downtown, ease in using public transportation. Cleanliness and value for money - onsen and complimentary breakfast. Friendliness and competence of staff.

Cons:

Breakfast was sufficient but not terribly exciting. The room was a bit difficult to maneuver around. A strategically placed shelf for shoes might help with that.

Good space and connectivity, with friendly staff
Pros:

Hotel with an excellent location near the subway and bus station. The room was a good size for Japan. The staff was very friendly, always willing to help, and very attentive. They have an onsen (hot spring bath) where tattoos are allowed. I would return without hesitation! If you're staying in Kyoto, don't hesitate to visit.
