Characterful old pub with lovely rooms.
Pros:

Lovely characterful room. Comfortable bed and large bathroom with a tub.
Excellent double glazing so no traffic noise from the High Street.
Lovely breakfast menu and very good value.

Cons:

Nothing! (but very tall people may find the ceilings a it low!)

Lovely independent pub with excellent rooms, great food and delightful staff.
Pros:

The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The room was well-appointed. We'd booked a twin room but the bed was made up as a king size. The manager offered to change it back while we were having dinner. The food was excellent and although we asked for a negroni and they didn't have Campari, the bar manager made an excellent alternative with another bitter.

Cons:

The key situation on departure was a little complicated and we couldn't find the box in which we were supposed to leave the key. There was no breakfast, though we were directed to a nearby cafe.

Very enjoyable stay
Pros:

Lovely room, friendly staff, great location.

Cons:

The noise travelled up thro the floor in my room. I think it would benefit from being carpeted. They don't do breakfasts in the week, which isn't a problem but I don't think that was clear when I booked it. Highly recommend La Maison Bistro which is less than a 5 min walk. Excellent breakfasts both mornings.

Pros:

Cons:

I didn't realise that the hotel didn't do breakfast in the week. Not a big problem but its unusual.

The staff were amazing and friendly.

Cons:

Minor note about cob webs in the corner of the room but when asked to resolve it the staff were very helpful and on my return to the room it was all gone.

Pros:

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was really surprised at how lovely it was. Room was stunning, staff so friendly and helpful. Breakfast next day was lovely. Location was great. Would definitely recommend and would stay again

Very enjoyable
Pros:

The hotel staff was very friendly and approachable, they even borrowed their charger for me to keep until the end of my stay. The room was very comfortable and offered cleaning service every day.

Also the style and age of the building

This is our third visit for a short stay. That fact in itself says it all.
Pros:

Lovely location especially for the town centre. Plenty of parking nearby. Lovely atmosphere with real 'character' rooms, warm and cosy. Very friendly welcome.

Cons:

I was only sorry that breakfast was not available.
