Comfy rooms, close to the airport
Pros:

Close to the airport and very friendly staff. We stayed here 2 times already and will definitely be a third when we are stopping in Joburg again

Not recommended.
Pros:

It was fairly clean, some of the staff were good.

Cons:

The room I paid for and was advertised on bookings.com was not the room I was given the night I got there. The next morning I went to reception and queried this and was taken to a different room which still was not the room i booked. Some of the facilities my room should have had was a bath, ironing facilities, kettle and cups, knife, fork, plates etc. this was advertised and what an executive room should have but, was not the case. I requested an iron and did not receive it at all. I will not recommend this place and do not believe it is anything near a 4 star facility.

The Rundown Ranch
Pros:

Nothing! Avoid at all cost!

Cons:

Tired looking room. Booked for two nights. First night no wifi, reported twice nothing was done. Also reported that the security gate at the door did not have a key! The cold water in the shower did not work and I could not get under the shower so I could just a have a wipe down. Reported all of this the next morning and asked for management to contact me. Never got contacted. When I then arrived before second night I was offered another room but was told that all had been fixed. I went to my room and nothing had been fixed. They offered me a room two doors down and I checked and found the exact same problems in that room. I packed up and left fortunately finding a room in another guest house.

Pros:

The staff are very much hospitable, especially Mr. Berry (despite his speed 😊). I felt very safe in a place away from home.

Cons:

On one of the nights when the hotel was sold out, I was transferred to another place (partner hotel). I didn't like it as much due to its further location and the rooms didn't meet my expectations. Nonetheless, the hotel took full responsibility of my stay while there.

Freezing room on eventual arrival. Aircon not working. Someone came and it did get slightly warmer.
Pros:

Breakfast was fine

Cons:

Supposed to have a pickup at the airport. Communication with the hotel was difficult. Always different answers. No record of my various attempts to book transfer.

I did not stay

Cons:

I booked and drove there within minutes. When i got there no security, gate was wide open.
Terrible sandy parking. No carports nothing.
When i went in ...the staff were not even in uniforms. The guy at the desk has a apron on.

When i asked the lady about the security and parking i was told thats how it is. I asvised I wasn't happy with the safety, location and parking as it appeared different on the website.

She guided me on my phone to cancel the booking foe a refund.

I received an email advising it is approved.

When I followed up on email today that the refund wasn't received, I was told the facility does not offer refund but a credit.
I advised I will not be using this facilty ever and require a refund. I am waiting for a response.
