The pool was small, narrow & shallow at one end.
There's not much space to sit & enjoy a drink outside your room between ground floor rooms & the pool.
The pool chairs in the pool sunk below water level so you got a wet bottom.
We moved to the stand alone villa's which were nice but the power kept going out in the night leaving us with no air conditioning. The path to the villa's was treacherous in the rain - definitely do not recommend older travellers stay here.
Compared to the places around Ubud, good value for the price and great view.
Geckos are literally everywhere, at least six seven🤷♀️. I understand that it’s in a forest, and it’s expected to have some. But that many is simply outrageous.

The private pool is an absolute highlight—serene, refreshing, and perfect for unwinding at any time of day.

The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, always going above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and cared for. Every detail is handled with grace, from delicious breakfasts to helpful recommendations and seamless arrangements.
Wadari Retreat Villa Ubud isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave. I cannot recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat.

The staff was amazing and breakfast was always huge and delicious with many options. The room was cleaned every day.
Nothing serious, just small inconveniences easy to solve.
E.g. no batteries in the TV remote controller - no problem for us, as we didn't want to watch TV. Spoiled body lotion - I used it once accidentally and it smells like expired a few years ago. No problem as I had my own. Be careful before you put it on your skin.
