excellent staff
Pros:

I'm moving from Alaska to NY state, so I had only planned to stay one night. I arrived late at night and parked in the lot across the street. (I was unaware that there was underground parking for the hotel.) Because I'm moving, I had quite a lot of stuff in my car. The manager, Jamie, helped me to my car with the bags that I had brought in, and we discovered that a window on my car had been broken and one large suitcase had been stolen. Jamie took a lot of his time to help me make arrangements to get the window replaced, even driving my car up the street to the glass shop when I felt too rattled to drive. They, of course, did not have a replacement window for my car, so Jamie made sure that I could keep my room at the hotel for another night (and possibly two) while they ordered one. It turned out that they would have needed a week to get a replacement window, so they put me in touch with a glass shop in Calgary (where I still am, staying with friends, and waiting for a window to arrive - hopefully - today).

I cannot say too much about how friendly, helpful, and sympathetic Jamie and his staff (and RCMP, who did recover my bag with only a few things missing) were - desk staff, restaurant wait staff, everyone. Jamie runs a great crew, and they clearly are proud of their work and enjoy working for him. The accommodations were stellar, but what really shines at the Courtyard Marriott are the people.

Pros:

At the last minute we changed the room size from the king with sofa bed to the double queen room. I wasnt sure if they would be able to make the change because I had secured the room last minute while traveling and it was at a really great price.

The man at the front desk accomidated the change without hassle and was even able to honour the price I had originally booked at, which I appreciated. The room was very spacious and clean. I love that the taste here are Smart Tvs so we could watch netflix

Clean Modern Room and Heat Worked Well
Pros:

New bathroom, shower only. Heater for room worked very well. 2 Medium size drawers. Had 1 comfy chair with table that slid over arm very convenient for watching TV. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. About 15 minute walk from train station.

Cons:

Did have the one comfy chair for watching TV with table that slid over arm but in theory room for two (king size bed) so what about other person. I think there was a desk chair but room may have been tight for 2 people. No safety deposit box.

The "sleeping sofa" was uncomfortable. The shower head was something to desired. I recommend you put hand held shower heads.
