Mooi huis, gastvrij
We misten een ventilator, het was op dat moment buitengewoon warm
A very old property and a very quirky room.
Lovely chap looked after us on arrival and in the dining room.
Excellent breakfast, easy bus ride to and from Bath.
Hot water was not good the first day. Room has a bath but the mixer has been altered to shower only so they need to take out the bath and fit a shower tray.
Fire alarm went off twice our second evening 11 and 11-30 due to a fault, just unlucky.
The lovely staff member who booked us in and also was there at breakfast was welcoming and helpful. Great having parking on site
A bit run down with flakey paint in toilet etc but clean!!
I will not add to the many comments already posted about the age and current condition of this property. Given the crazy central Bath accommodation prices plus we needed a car parking space for our one night stay, this budget option ticked all the boxes for us. The full English breakfast included plus the ability to leave your car parked in the hotel grounds while you went into Bath after checking in and out (using the local bus and return by Uber worked best) made it a very good choice for our group of 4 adults.
As the owner upgrades the rooms in the future, it will hopefully lose its dated feel but as stated this is currently a great option for a short stay if you accept that you get what you pay for. The owner/manager is on site and responsive to any issues.
Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, gutes Frühstück, frisch zubereitet. Etwas in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung, stilvoll aufgearbeitet, mit sehr modernem (Fernseher mit Internetverbindung, Self Check in) kombiniert. Zimmer war klein, Bett war bequem aber klein.
everything was perfect
nothing
The location for the family we were visiting
Was a little shabby and I had asked for a twin room and didn’t get it which meant two of my adult sons sharing . I saw a twin room opposite and had we had that it would have made a difference
Nice hotel, good location with parking. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Mattress on four poster bed needs changing. It seemed to be 2xsingle mattresses together that were too soft.
Windows could be opened to allow for fresh air flow. Old fashioned décor, easy on the eye. Quiet room and pleasant tree-filled garden plus lawn. Parking close to entrance. Bus stops each side of road close to hôtel entrance with regular services into and out of the city (particularly numbers 3 and 13).
I wasn't particularly troubled by the fact that the lovely lady serving breakfast insisted on us having a full English but a choice would have been welcomed.
