Great vibes, friendly and helpful staff.

I had a tremendous experience during my stay at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.

From the moment I arrived, I received a warm and genuine welcome from the front office team. Ms. Farah and Ms. Niya were exceptionally professional, friendly, and attentive, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and effortless. They are truly valuable assets to the company.

I also had a wonderful dining experience at the café in front of the stage. The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. Throughout my stay, every staff member I encountered was helpful, approachable, and displayed the utmost kindness, professionalism, and dedication to their work.

Thank you to the entire Hard Rock Desaru team for making my stay so memorable. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking outstanding hospitality and exceptional service.

We chose to return this June because we didn’t have enough of the place last year. It was such a delight to be back. The smiling staff members and music made the atmosphere a welcoming and happy one.

The permanent availability of cold drinks option (almost always had cold plain water and another flavoured drink) plus a standing sanitizer dispenser at the hotel lobby were much appreciated.

It is definitely value-for-money as the accommodation rate included daily admission to the Water Park (re-entries permitted). Hotel allows borrowing of towels into the water park. The direct entrance from the hotel to the water park was convenient.

Special compliments to the following Service Staff:
- Syafiqah (Guest Service Manager) who remembered us from our previous trip and was always all smiles and attentive
- Rosli (Service Staff at Recreational Counter) who had an excellent memory for names and attended to our interests in his best ability whenever we had questions
- Bella and Kani (Staff at the Rock Royalty Lounge) who exhibited great guest service and maintained their composure even when faced with guests who did not adhere with the etiquette of dining at the lounge. They made us realize how challenging being a frontline staff is.

The food standard at the main restaurant seemed to have dropped slightly compared to last year’s. The food at the Rock Royalty Lounge, though more limited than the restaurant’s was however of good quality. The lounge however (if I am not mistaken) is only available to guests who have chosen certain room types.

It was overall a wonderful trip. We are looking forward to our next stay there already.

Friendly staff, easy access to facilities and waterpark, room was clean and they even had a cute mirror decoration as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Things I liked about Hard Rock Hotel
- Spacious, well designed and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and responsive staff
- Allows guests to borrow electric guitar during their stay
- Excellent live band in the evening
- Direct access to the water park
- Outdoor Pickle, volleyball and badminton courts coming up soon.
- No direct access to beach but they have a quick on call buggy service which sends guests to Westin, which has beach acess. In any case, Westin is just a 5 min walk from Hard Rock.

Things that disappointed me
- No live yoga classes
- No other live entertainment except for evening band
- We had the buffet breakfast and dinner and in both cases I would describe the quality of the food as quite ordinary. This would not be an issue if it were a 3 star hotel. However, for those of us who were customers of Hard Rock Cafe in the 1990s to 2000s, the food in the main restaurant Sessions was a far cry from what I had expected. For those who have a car, i would strongly recommend driving 12 mins to Desaru Utama where there are many resonably priced dining options.
- swimming pool was a simple rectangular pool. Aqequate for laps but not particularly fun.

There are 2 EV fast chargers.

It was an overall pleasant stay, room was fairly clean, I had a little issue with my AC and it was rectified promptly. Check in was a breeze, breakfast was okay. Direct access to the waterpark, (waterpark on the otherhand needed a big makeover). The grounds of HRH was clean, location is pretty convenient, we caught the buggy to Westin for the beach. It was a pretty chill atmosphere, very family friendly. We requested a room that was away from the lifts so we dont really have an issue with noise. Once we closed the sliding doors it fine, the music isnt blasting or anything. I would say that it was value for money.

All the staff at the lounge were great! Kani was very friendly:) we enjoyed our stay!

The stay is alright, room is comfortable, however the towels looks a bit old, it's a time to replace them all, it's very obvious that they are old towels as there are shades of black that's soak into the fabric. The breakfast spread is bad, Westin's breakfast spread is so much better. The "sunny side up station" is bad, very slow, kept breaking eggs, kept redoing and it's too slow. Compare to the area, Hard rock is a bit towards the steep side, I do expect better, at the minimum, the towels.

Overall experience is good. Cleanliness and courtesy is there. The atmosphere is happening during night time. The breakfast spread is not so extensive. Chicken is bland and under cooked for drumsticks. If able to extend the checkout late will be good for adventure park play.

The whole experience was calming. Staff are welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. Getting a package of body scrub, Bali massage and facial was totally worth it, with clean bathroom to wash up and right temperature during the session.
It makes me want to return again for next visit. Thank you, Rock Spa for the invigorating experience. 👍
I wish there is lemongrass or lavendar essential oil for massage.

Unlimited kids club was the highlight of the trip for both kids and us! Room is clean, bed is comfy. Staff are friendly and we are greeted everywhere we go. Kids loved the VR games and program planned for them and they can’t wait to come again.

Have a great breakfast, coupled with surprise HRC mascot by Nizam!!
