Narcissus Resort & spa Obhur Jeddah

It was a wholesome experience from A to Z. I wish I was able to extend my trip just to enjoy that superb resort. A special shoutout to Mr Mohammed Al Qahtani as he one of the reasons that took that experience to a next level. He was very professional, kind, and very helpful.
To those of you who want to experience relaxation, Saudi hospitality, and professionalism at its best, this is the place.

Great rooms and service

Made a large booking 30 plus rooms, (mix of 1 bed through to 3 bed villas) at the Narcissus Resort for F1, the resort itself needs some serious investment and attention to detail and lacks operational management presence.

The salesperson was extremely nonresponsive and misleading with his communication, not respecting or understanding the customers expectation.

Suites all though very large and well appointed, require deep clean, from windows, chandeliers full of dirt and dust, broken doors, patio wood broken, villa pools half full of water and not cleaned.

The only saving grace for our booking were 2 people, Ahmed (FO) and Iwan (HK) who appeared to be the only people who would fac the issues head on.

In summary:

Would I recommend the hotel, NO.
Would I re book the hotel, NO.

In today's world of hospitality and the many luxurious hotels available, this hotel disappoints on many levels.

Terrible stay!
From the unclean room, to no or unfriendly service, no mention of my birthday, wrong bill posted on my room folio, unappetizing buffet, mosquito everywhere which kept us up all night, I could go on and on but it's no worth my time. Don't waste your money ....

Everything and everyone is perfect, everyone approaches you and smile, the villa is very cleaned and comfortable, the restaurant and coffee shop is very nice, Shabib is perfect, he approach us and very nice, he do everything to make us enjoy

I went there for a family holiday on the national day but sadly the experience was terrible. I found small creatures crawling all around, the furniture and the toilet was so used like it has been hundreds years. At all not recommended to any one

The check in process taking too much time!! A really bad first impression.
After waiting more than 40 min "for cleaning and sterilization" we entered the junior suite and it was dirty, including past guests items and eyelash extensions in the carpet!!! What a NASTY thing!
The suit have flys in it! 🪰
I tried to call the reception and housekeeping many times without answer! I have to call them at least 4-6 times till answering, and waiting for much time till receiving my orders and requests.
What a bad experience, not recommended at all.

The staffs are the worst. And the room was smiling.

Nice place in Jeddah, the room and the jacuzzi @ 128 very relaxing

Upon arrival warmly greeting by staff, Mr, Ahmad placed his best for my comfort also as we checked out the staff were great.

I ordered pizza but I didn’t have chance to dine in the main restaurant

Over night the leaves covered all the cars in parking spaces and became dirty

1- Literally, the longest Check-in & out ever. Get ready to wait at the reception for a long time and witness the mess up yourself.
2- Cleaning is one of this place’s problems. I mean, flies & mosquitos were are all over the place. The breakfast buffet dishes were full of them 🤢.
3- Ordering food at the beach is a headache, don’t expect your food to be delivered before 30-40 minutes. Ours took 45 minutes!
4- A special thanks to Mr. Zeyad at the reception for being a gentleman & helpful. He tried his best but I guess the management needs to look at the customers reviews and work on them ASAP.

We booked an executive Villa for a 2 night stay with our young children. We called ahead to make sure they have security bars for the stairs as is stated on the website and were assured that the bars are available, yet upon arrival they had no idea what we were referring to. We asked for a baby cot, it arrived after we called housekeeping twice and to my horror the mattress was covered with dried vomit from a previous baby. At this point,I noticed that the soles of my 4 year old child’s feet were completely black ; I’ve stayed at various hotels all over the world with star ratings ranging from 2-5 but this was my first time to see a floor so filthy. And when we asked for it to be cleaned, the mop water was literally a dark shade of black, indicating that the floor had not been mopped for some time. Luckily we live in the city, so we packed and left as I could not imagine how dirty the carpets, beds and bathrooms must be if even the marble floors were black. Especially with very young kids I couldn’t take the risk of someone getting a nasty infection. Also, the bathroom air suction switch was not working and the bathroom had an awful smell. The pool was dirty and had live insects; the engine was off and we had to call for someone to start it.
Upon checkout the staff tried to explain that this is a strange occurrence and never happens, yet it did. And they insisted on charging us the price of one (very expensive) night despite the fact that we left only because of the filth.
If you value your time, health and money I strongly advise against staying at this place.

The staff (including the General Manager of the Resort) did not cooperate with us when some “visitor” stole from us, basically what happened is that the workers in the hotel found our stuff and they did not handle it to the Lost & Found office, instead, they gave it to this stranger person!, I asked the security to review the cameras to identify the person, but they said “we are not responsible” and they did not support us. In general, the resort was cool but the price was very expensive comparing to the room size and the provided services, I do not recommend this place, you may found better options near.

I will only highlight the down sides
1- the beach front is small and need to be properly maintained with fresh sand and more depth.
2- when I tried to extend my stay, I approached the receptionist and asked for the reservation supervisor, I expected to meet in person, which I didn’t they called Mr. Hani “reservation supervisor” who claimed the property is fully booked and I have to leave by noontime. when I checked online I found the targeted villa is available for rent and I did the booking online came back to recheck-in the same villa!. Such customer service is bad for their business!
3- one small comment about the lighting in the Junior Villa is not properly configured either too bright or too dark a bit confusing.
4- one funny and painful furniture is the living room table which is designed to crack your pinky toe 🤦🏻‍♂️
