Nice quit stay with pleasant surroundings friendly staff
Church Farm Hotel is in a peaceful and pretty area.Sandy, our host was friendly and accommodating.
We were able to visit several pllaces of interest very easily and the park and ride bus service into Shrewsbury was very good.
Our room was comfortable and clean. The shower had decent pressure.I would definitely recommend the breakfast menu, freshly cooked and delicious. We had a four night stay and would recommend this lovely hotel.*****
The place was spotless and the breakfast was exerlant we would go back there again.
The bedroom was damp. Wallpaper coming off the walls
Carpet dirty
Bathroom dirty
Attractive and well-maintained property in quiet, peaceful location. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
Very quiet & comfortable.
This is a charming place, the setting is beautiful and the building is old and interesting. The owner has tried to keep the decor in keeping with the age of this listed building and it’s very attractive.
We were welcomed and shown to our en-suite room, which was furnished and decorated very tastefully. Sandie checked to make sure there was tea and coffee and then offered us fresh milk for the tea. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. Plenty of towels
Sandie recommended a pub for an evening meal, The Pheasant, about a mile 1/2 away. The food was great 👍
My only complaint was that the bed was very hard, I mentioned it to Sandie and she is going to do something about it for t,he next people. Nice to meet someone that takes their business so seriously.
Breakfast was great, and plentiful, great scrambled eggs and perfect poached eggs
Property was central for places we wanted to visit. Two good pubs nearby. Sandie was a great host - delicious breakfast! We would have liked ensuite but not too much of an issue as bathroom nearby.
It's was home from home and nic welcome love to go back there
arrived at 7 pm to check in as per booking, to find an irritated note saying check in finished at 6 pm (for some unexplained reason) and because i’d booked a cheaper standby rate that THEY offered, i’d have to check out at 9 even though booking said 10.30 am. an hour after arriving a knock on the door of the room produced the proprietor who rudely shouted the instructions to me and brooked no discussion, one of the lost unpleasant people i’ve encountered in any accommodation. presumably it’s in her own fever dream that this is a four-star property. it isn’t and it had an awful painting of a stag propped on the mantelpiece and dismal internet speed. avoid.
Absolutely amazing. Our host was warm, welcoming and a fountain of local information. The B&B itself was a beautiful, Victorian village house with lofty ceilings and boundless rural charm. The rooms are gorgeous, each having its own unique charm with homely little touches that made us feel all the more welcome. The surrounding countryside is lush and full of activities. From the Wrekin viewpoint barely 2 miles away to the river town of Shrewsbury a little further afield it would be easily possible to spend a week or more without getting bored. Dining out takes a mere 5 minute drive to one of the outlying villages or towns, if you are willing to explore further then Iron Bridge has some gorgeous restaurants and bars by the river. In the morning a full English breakfast is offered for those with an appetite or a lighter fare for those slow risers.
All in all, our stay was overwhelmingly special and we shall be returning soon.
Beautiful farmhouse set in a lovely village. Although the bed was a little firmer than we were used to we slept well. The room was spacious & clean with plenty of tea/coffee etc. Breakfast was lovely we opted for the lighter option of eggs on toast but the full English looked amazing. There is a car park for farmhouse guests at the back .Would recommend.
