Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous
Pros:

Everything from start to finish. Amazing landlords that can't do enough for you. What super lovely gents. They go above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible. I can't recommend lantern pike enough. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Pros:

The stunning location. Friendly owner Mark great host made you feel at home, and the food just amazing. Our room had the 4 poster bed beautiful view, coffee/tea facilities. Very clean.

The location - beautiful views. The owner was exceptional in wanting to make our stay the best. Comfy bed. Goid shower. Excellent breakfast

The lack of a shower.mat. But I'm sure Mark would have supplied one if if asked .

We felt very well cared for and relaxed, in a lovely spot in a beautiful part of the English Peaks.
Pros:

A full breakfast was served each morning, plus cereal, tea, coffee, fruit juice etc.
In the evening there was a very good choice on the menu, which catered for every taste, and served at your table.

Cons:

We really couldn’t fault anything at all at this lovely venue, from our first welcome to our last goodbye…which included a hug.

Relaxed verblij met gezellige gastheer
Pros:

Mark en Garry zorgden voor een uitstekemd verblijf. Ze zijn zeer behulpzaam en het eten is uitstekend en gevarieerd.
Als je hier verblijft ben je verzekerd van een gezellige tijd!

Cons:

De weg voor langs het hotel is een beetje druk. Voordeel is wel dat de bus voor de deur van het hotel stopt

Welcoming, nothing too much trouble very nicely priced.
Pros:

Exceptional - the landlord Mark looked after us superbly well. We had a delicious full cooked breakfast with plenty of slices of toast. Really made us feel welcome, very grateful to have found this hidden gem within easy walking reach of Kinder Scout.

Cons:

Nothing, I really appreciate the effort the landlord has made to soundproofing the rooms - after a long days hike we could not hear the road or the pub downstairs.

Excellent Inn, very pleasant host, good food! More than worth the money
Pros:

Mark is an excellent host, called us within 20 minutes after we left, that he found a very important health care item. So we returned to pick it up.
Very clean bath room and room with comparable beds. Full English breakfast was superb, the best we have had for a long time. Using local products with excellent sausages, which were not greasy at all.

Cons:

Nothing really.

Koselig overnattingssted som absolutt kan anbefales
Pros:

Herlig frokost-i, og da vi måtte reise grytidlig en morgen, laget eieren en sandwich matpakke til oss. Koselige folk på puben ga en fin atmosfære. 2 deilige middager med hjemmelaget mat.

A most enjoyable stay
Pros:

A lovely place to stay. We received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The breakfast was excellent, room was very comfortable and lovely bathroom. Great value for money too. Will be visiting again.

A great base in the Peak District
Pros:

A superb inn, in a fantastically beautiful part of the world. Mark and his team were friendly and knowledgeable, and made us feel at home even though they weren't actually open when we visited - somehow our booking made it through on a day they were supposed to be shut.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to have dinner and a few pints at the pub, but Mark was happy to whip up a tasty cooked breakfast in the morning.

The room was spacious and comfortable with decent facilities, and there's a great garden to relax in. Sadly we were just passing through, but there are plenty of stunning walks and trails to explore nearby.

Pros:

Breakfast was fine. Location excellent for peak or marple. Busy pub in evening. Would recommend fidgit pie.
