Pros:

We had an evening meal arranged at very short notice which was excellent. You do need to book meals ahead as the chef/owner uses only fresh ingredients and it shows. Definitely well above standard hotel catering. Very professional husband and wife team running this small hotel. Could not fault the experience.

Very good breakfast, cooked freshly to order. Plenty of variety.

Lovely hotel stay
Pros:

Lovely breakfast, great amount of choices both hot and cold food. We were lucky to get the room with the balcony, which was brilliant for cooling the room down during the heatwave. Philip and Nicky are very friendly and welcoming

Great for a short stay when exploring the area.
Pros:

This was a lovely little hotel. Welcoming host, nice room if a little small. Breakfast good. Free parking. Although hotel is on a busy road, it wasn't noisy. I wish we had known that there were rooms with a bath, which I prefer. Will remember to request next time I book anywhere. Showers are not for me, especially in the colder months! A couple of miles outside Hailsham, easy journey into centre.

Cons:

A frequent gripe with many hotels these days is there aren't enough chairs in the room. Although there would not have been enough room for a second chair in this room.
