They did not wait an extra 15 minutes to allow me to check in!!

The unbelievably arrogant and inflexible approach of the owner, who was ride and awful. I would never consider this hotel again. And warn against it.

Excellent....would definitely return and recommend
Pros:

Owners had thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble....
Breakfast was extremely good...plenty of choice and all very fresh...smoked haddock was beautiful 😍
Very friendly and welcoming..lots of useful advice about locality....
Quiet..peaceful location.
They even gifted us a jar of their own homemade marmalade when we left!
💯 recommend 👌

Excellent hospitality and location for Observatory in Hailsham.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. A selection of cereals, juice, fresh fruits including grapefruit was available. Freshly cooked to order Full English or haddock with poached or scrambled eggs to accompany. Delicious. The owners were very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Pros:

We had an evening meal arranged at very short notice which was excellent. You do need to book meals ahead as the chef/owner uses only fresh ingredients and it shows. Definitely well above standard hotel catering. Very professional husband and wife team running this small hotel. Could not fault the experience.

Quaint Traditional hotel
Pros:

Evening meal (give 48 hours notice if you want to eat there)
Breakfast - variety and freshness
Dog in room
History and fire in dining room

Cons:

No real facilities for people with poor mobility
Poor sound proofing - heard neighbours toilet flushing
Traffic outside - only stopped between 1:30 and 5:30
