That review is for Hotel 81 which I booked 1 month back.


The Changi Cove was a great place, excellent staff and gave me free extended check out time. Also, the breakfast was excellent. 


My apologies for mixing two hotels.

1.客服为我主动升级了更好的房间，让我的旅程体验更棒；
2.房间的景观真的是Galle最好的，没有之一；
3.设施还是比较新的，有一块很安静没什么人的海滩，非常适合带孩子。
4.最后一晚酒店准备了斯里兰卡传统文化表演（康提舞），为所有旅客送去了祝福。

An unserem letzten Abend gab es in der Nähe ein Konzert. Das Hotel hat uns leider erst an diesem Tag daran informiert und gesagt, es sei nur bis 23:00 Uhr. Wir konnten bis 02:00 nicht schlafen, trotz Ohrenstöpsel und es hat alles vibriert. Wir mussten um 05:00uhr schon wieder los am den Flughafen und das Hotel ist uns keineswegs entgegengekommen.. es war wirklich Horror!! Auch sonst ist das Hotel sehr in die Jahre gekommen und nicht ein 5 Sterne Hotel

Great choice in Galle
Pros:

We stayed at the hotel early in our trip for two nights and loved it so much we cancelled a day off another hotel to stay here for our final night of the holiday. It's very high level service and facilities next to the incredible Galle Fort which is full of fantastic restaurants and shops

The location. Being able to see a large historical fort and the beach. Short walk to the old town and fort. Beautiful, spacious and clean room. The turndown service offered was a nice touch. Welcome chocolates in the room when we checked in. Delicious breakfast buffet with a range of local and western dishes. The fresh fruit at the breakfast was my favourite. Room service food was high quality and amazing. The Japanese toilet in the room. We also had the jacuzzi and were given the salts to use.

Cons:

The gym was small and didn’t have a range of machines.

During turn down service, there were bright lights and normally as part of this service, the lights are dimmed however not a huge dealbreaker.

Pros:

Would’ve loved a souvenir shop and a tuk-tuk service to the train station, but honestly, it didn’t affect our stay at all. Everything else more than made up for it.

The staff at Le Grand were amazing from check-in to check-out—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They handled all our requests effortlessly, which made the stay feel easy and stress-free.

And the food? Outstanding. The pork and seafood dishes were freshly cooked and easily some of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. Definitely a place I’d recommend.
