One of a amazing stay 🫶🏻
Pros:

Everything ! It was amazing stay in this beautiful place.
Food was amazing, hospitality from staff was fantastic, and the location is 10 minutes away from Galle fort and 5 minutes away from city.Hotel was very clean and interior was very nice and quiet. And the view was superb.

Cons:

Nothing honestly, but would be better if they can extend pool time. Because it was just 7-7.

Pros:

Our stay was overall pleasant, and the strongest point of the hotel is definitely the staff, who were always very kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. The atmosphere is calm, and we appreciated ending our trip here hoping for a more premium experience for our last two days.

Cons:

That said, considering the price and category of the hotel, there are several aspects that need improvement. There was noticeable humidity in different areas, an unpleasant pipe smell in the room, visible cracks in the walls that had not been repaired, and furniture that looked quite worn. Cleanliness should also be improved, as there was a considerable amount of dust in very visible and accessible places such as the bedside tables and lamps. We specifically chose this hotel expecting a more premium stay, but unfortunately left somewhat disappointed. During our month-long trip, we stayed in several 4-star hotels that were significantly more affordable and much better maintained than this one.

Pros:

We had an excellent stay at Le Grand Galle thanks to its great location near Galle Fort and its peaceful surroundings. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making it very comfortable throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a great variety of fresh and tasty options. The staff were professional, well-trained, and always attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Top hotel op een top locatie!
Pros:

Uitstekend hotel met uitzicht op de oceaan en het fort van Galle. Prachtig zwembad met goede voorzieningen en de mogelijkheid in de oceaan te zwemmen. Je kunt je lekker afdouchen. Lekker ligbedden aan het zwembad en schaduw onze parasols.
De stad Galle (oud en nieuw) is op loopafstand en anders makkelijk per TukTuk te bereiken.

Cons:

Jammer genoeg veel troep in de Oceaan, plastic en andere drijvende rommel. Er is een tussendoor route richting fort door een park. Helaas is die route afgesloten met een hek.

Amazing experience
Pros:

Literally everything: the amazing pool, the great food (breakfast and dinner), the very friendly and helpful staff all over, the great beds, the peaceful location next to the old Fort, the ocean views, huge rooms, beautiful interiors, beautiful garden, the styling, the overall experience (as if we were king and queen)

Super Hotel, um Galle Ford zu erkunden und trotzdem den Tag am Meer zu geniessen
Pros:

Super Lage nahe beim Fort schöne Aussicht schöne Poolanlage wenn auch das Wasser was aber bei dieser Jahreszeit so ist etwas zu warm war

Cons:

Der jeden Abend offeriert Aperitif ist nett gemeint, aber es fehlt an Stil und Stimmung

Great Hotel - great staff - would stay again
Pros:

Beautiful stay in a wonderful hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms had a wonderful view of the ocean and the Calle fort. Swimming pool exceptional. Location is great and in walking distance of the shops. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent stay
Pros:

Le Grand Galle was a fabulous experience. We upgraded rooms to one with a plunge pool and was the best move we’ve ever made. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were always helpful. And even better, we often had peacocks in our yard!
Can’t wait to come back!

Gorgeous Galle experience
Pros:

Beautiful hotel overlooking the Fort. Charming service, modern room, gorgeous pool, free cocktails and delicious food in the restaurants. Convenient to the fort and the Dutch markets by tuk tuk. Service exceptional.
