This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful situation. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining room experience is excellent - every meal we had was superb. I thoroughly recommend the cooking opportunity offered by the hotel. You go with a chef to the food markets - where time is taken to look at and talk about fruit, veg, spices and meat/fish available. Then cook and eat a fabulous meal. Particular mention of chefs Shammi and HK Wijendra.. We also recommend the tour of Galle Fort. ?Thank you to all the staff that made this stay such a memorable holiday.
A beautiful hotel in Galle with great food and great service
Unfortunately when we visited there was building work taking place which meant it was quite noisy at times whilst the staff offered free drinks as a gesture of good will we would have probably booked elsewhere if we had known before arriving. We also booked in for a spa day a few days in advance but when we arrived on the day of our appointments the spa was closed for the day.
Rooms are really spacious and clean. Nice breakfast.
The hotel is fantastic, huge pool with sea views and views of the fort. It was a 5 minute Tuk Tuk ride (500 rupees max each way). So many restaurants inside the fort. Great rooms, very large - no complaints at all. Would highly recommend

It was a memorable experience with warm welcome by the front office staff. When I rang to request for early check in Christina who answered my call, made positive attitude and arranged early check in.
Restaurant staff very friendly and polite. I believe they are well trained.
Food was excellent with authentic Sri Lankan taste.
We had a wonderful time at Le grand!. The room was spotless, and food was delicious with an exceptional breakfast buffet. The location was perfect for exploring Galle, making it easy to walk to the fort. The staff were very warm and friendly 😍. We will definitely stay here again!

It's was indeed a luxurious experience at La grand galle ,staff was very friendly (must mention uditha at front desk , iresha at the restaurant and the manager Dashan kamalgoda) a big thank u to all for making our stay a pleasant one . Food was exceptional though we just had only the breakfast . Beautiful location with a breathtaking view . It's the most beautiful hotel we have experienced till now. The views are just wow. As a couple it's the safest and most serene hotel you can ever have in Galle. Especially the pool aand the Ocean views from the hotel room were just mesmerizing. We just spent time sipping our team watching the beauty. Worth all the money you spend and it also has an amazing food collection to offer.
