Hotel Mero Gaucho

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia con mi marido. Llegamos sin previo aviso en plena cuarentena y de igual forma nos atendieron como reyes. Dada la baja cantidad de huéspedes por la cuarentena, nos hicieron un upgrade a la mejor habitación, con una terraza exquisita. La decoración del lugar es preciosa y hace que sea muy acogedor, además de lo acogedor del dueño y las chicas de recepción. Hay un sector con café, té e infusiones de libre disposición, y también bandejas y platos para servirse la comida delivery en caso de querer ordenar algo (no se puede ir a comer a restaurantes durante la cuarentena, y el hotel no cuenta con restaurante para almuerzo ni cena).
El desayuno fue la mejor parte de la estadía. Llega a la puerta de la habitación puntual a la hora que uno lo pide, en una preciosa canasta de picnic con mucha variedad! (Se preocupan de preguntar por tus preferencias el día anterior). Realmente la guinda de la torta! Muchas gracias por todo.

Clean and modern hotel. Super nice staff and delicious breakfast. The room was very small but modern and clean. We were on the third floor without elevator but thankfully the staff carried the heavy suitcases up and down for us. The area is super convenient and walkable to all the beautiful sites of Puerto Varas.

Perhaps the best boutique hotel we've ever stayed at. Service was excellent. They even prepared a box lunch for us because we were leaving before the breakfast service.

This was an amazing stay. Breakfast was great - they make fresh eggs, have lactose-free milk, pack breakfast if you leave before, etc. The staff were amazing. They were super helpful in organizing laundry service for us, and handled everything. They also are super helpful when organizing taxis/transport to the airport. This is right in the city center (~5 min walk down some stairs, ~10 min max to a market). The hotel is on a pedestrian-only road, so the room is pretty quiet.

The only downside is that there is no elevator. You will have to lift your suitcases up and down stairs (but there is a max. of 3 flights). There is no AC either, but they provide fans if you need them.

Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Mero Gaucho - just avoid if you cannot handle stairs.

This is a charming old hotel building that has been refurbished in a way that retains its traditional appearance and style. It has a very spacious central meeting area. The lady on reception welcomed us warmly and helped with handy advice throughout to make our stay enjoyable Thoughtful touches like tea/coffee making on landing, and fruit to help yourself to. Perhaps an oversight, but some cake and strawberries at breakfast were not fresh and it would have better had they not been put out.

Wow! Everything about Mero Gaucho far exceeded our expectations! From the frequent communication using WhatsApp prior to our arrival to the "take away" food that was thoughtfully prepared for us since we had to check out prior to breakfast on our departure day, the staff at Mero Gaucho went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay in their hotel. The room was cozy and clean with a nice TV. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of breads, fresh fruit and juices, coffee, cereals, yogurt, ham, cheese, and eggs cooked to order. All of the staff members, as I already mentioned, went out of their way to tell us about places to visit and different restaurants in the area. They all spent a great deal of time, making sure that we had everything we needed. We can't say enough good things about Mero Gaucho, and we highly recommend this charming hotel.

Hotel muito bem localizado, a 5 minutos de caminhada do centro da cidade, boas instalações, wi fi funcionando, café da manhã satisfatório, frutas e agua aromatizada para servir-se durante o dia, e o mais importante o acolhimento, sem dúvida os funcionários são extremamente gentis, prestativos e educados. Precisei sair muito cedo para pegar o cruze andino, e para a minha surpresa os funcionários tinham deixado um kit com lanches para eu levar. Sem sobra de dúvida é o diferencial. Alem de indicar para os viajantes eu pretendo voltar.

Un pequeño y bello hotel de diez habitaciones, ambientado con muy buen gusto y esmerada atención. Camas bien cómodas y correcto el desayuno. Buena relación precio-servicio y la ubicación está a pocas cuadras del centro. Muy recomendable para quien busca un hotel sencillo y cálido.

We had a great three-night stat at this hotel! Friendly and helpful staff, quiet but central location and well-designed/clean/modern rooms.

The hotel was situated in a paedestrian street and was near to restaurants and the lake. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good. The room was small but very comfortable bed and hot shower. There are stairs to the upper levels.

Très bon hôtel, décoré avec beaucoup de goût, l'accueil est parfait, le personnel est très sympathique et attentionné. Un hôtel qu'on recommande fortement. Un point est à amélioré : le petit déjeuner... Qui est un peu léger.

Although I only had a very brief stay here, it was a very comfortable one! The hotel contacted me by WhatsApp a couple of days before my arrival, to confirm when I was arriving. The hotel is close to the center of Puerto Varas, on a pedestrian street, at an easy walking distance from restaurants and shops. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable; the breakfast included fresh juices, eggs cooked to order, toast, and a variety of pastries.

The rooms are spread across two floors above the ground floor, which is already a floor above street level. The street, in turn, is also up a staircase from the main town center. So if you struggle with climbing stairs, this hotel may not be your best choice. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend it!

Hotel nuevo y muy bonito, habitaciones comodas.
Puede haber algo de ruido si otros huespedes llegan de noche, considerando que es una casa de madera.

El hotel es precioso, es un lugar cómodo y familiar, nos encanto la atención y la preocupación por los detalles. Ojalá tuviera estacionamiento.
