Azaya Beach Resort

The hotel has an excellent location, right on Benaulim Beach, but beyond that, nothing about the property works.
They don’t even maintain a proper reception—just a small IT room that doubles as the reception area. There are no welcome drinks, no orientation, and no one to explain the property layout, restaurants, bars, or facilities.
The room design is extremely odd. There are no hooks in the bathroom, the toilet jet spray is dangerously powerful with no way to control or reduce the pressure, and the bathtub is placed on the balcony, fully visible from surrounding rooms—completely bizarre and uncomfortable.
Staff service is below par. You need to follow up repeatedly, and even then many things simply don’t get done. Room service and housekeeping are consistently delayed and inefficient. At one point, the housekeeping staff informed me that they didn’t have sugar or tea sachets to replenish the room—unacceptable for a so-called premium property.
Breakfast was another daily struggle. The options were limited, food quality was poor, and the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Items were frequently not refilled, crockery was missing, and orders were extremely delayed.
Overall, this property is one to avoid. Despite positioning itself as a premium hotel, even mid-tier hotels offer far better service, management, and guest experience.

Hotel is dead now, zero maitenace, zero service.
We arrived at 3 pm on 25th dec (peak season), no welcome no one at reception, room was not ready they gave room at 4.30pm with no proper housekeeping done in room, towel, bathing essentials were missing.
Swimming pool is in unsafe condition all over inside and outside pool tiles are broken, bath tub in room was non operational. Resturant including beach side is dead no staff take order or deliver

Overall, a nice resort with some areas for improvement. The food is great. Special thanks to their CDC, Mr. Sunil, and the other restaurant staff.

Azaya has great infrastructure adorned with lush green . While everything is great and the staff try their best to make it easy for the guests...it's the little functionality flaws which create misery ...the exhausting system in the room is a major problem because of which the rooms are stinky . Most of the dishes on the menu are not available as basic ingredients are not available with the kitchen team...we could not have cappuccino throughout our stay as their coffee machine was out of order.Such things are not expected in a 5 star .To cheer us up , Rosamind Fernandes did his best to bring a smile to our face.
I would request the management to solve the functional issues as otherwise its a good property.

The property’s amenities looked good but had issues. We had mosquitoes in the room, the shower room was choking each time some1 bathed. The swimming pool looked beautiful but when I went to swim in it the water level was just 2.5-3 feet. I asked them to increase level they said they hav instructed the concerned but nothing happened. Then I realised the pool water level was never more than 3 feet and it is more of a show pool. Food was ok soups & starter were good but main course was not so great. Curries were bland. They dont have a goan chef at all, which was quite disappointing. So all in all an average stay for us. After paying so heavily for the deluxe pool room, the resort did not provide value for money.

Whenever I would highlight these issues, the guest manager would simply say sorry sorry for everything and would try hard to rectify it. But after paying such huge amts one would not expect the above issues to comeup at the first place. I have stayed at Hotel st-regis, which is very near to this property, they really know how to delight a customer.

The only highlight on this trip was my marriage anniversary dinner arranged by Mr pulak at the beach at there blue iris restraunt. The food was good & they had done pretty good decoration. We enjoyed it a lot.

We went there to celebrate our first anniversary and the overall experience was really beautiful. Toufiq specially was very cordial and was there to help even on his day off. We got a room upgrade as well and they too celebrated our anniversary with a nice room decor and a beautiful cake. Thankyou Azaya ! Would love to visit again - Abhisekh

We were moved to this hotel due to an unplanned extension to our holiday .
This hotel has the potential to be a beautiful Boutique Hotel.
However, the place is falling apart and the buildings look run down, covered in mould and crumbling apart.
The swimming pool was half full, the bottom tiles were broken and left there, the edges were crumbling.
A labourer was sanding the decking and it was all settling in the pool.
The staff on reception are useless, when we were making a complaint, and we asked to see a manager, seven members of staff hid behind a wall .
Give this hotel a miss .

Kim and Abhinay were fantastic; they prepared a perfectly tidy room and were always in a wonderfully good mood and genuinely kind. I deeply respect their diligent work and positive energy. My husband and I had a truly lovely time together, enjoying the pleasant and welcoming environment. Everyone on staff was consistently courteous and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. This perfect blend of flawless service, cheerful smiles, and respectful attitude made our experience unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to everyone seeking a perfect getaway. Our stay at Azaya Beach Resort was absolutely amazing! The resort’s location in South Goa is stunning — serene, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The property is beautifully maintained, and the service throughout our stay was exceptional.

We had a unique and wonderful experience at the Azaya. Travelling at the end of monsoon season we had the place to ourselves. All of the staff at this hotel were absolutely fantastic and made our stay so memorable. We ate brilliantly despite a smaller buffet option as the chefs made us food to order. One of our party had his very first Vindaloo and loved it. The pool was lovely and warm and access to the beach is a HUGE plus. The rooms were well equipped and spacious with plenty of room to store our stuff. One of two repairs were underway to prepare for the busy season but we had no major disruptions. Overall a fantastic week of relaxing, sunshine, good food and peace and quiet. Thanks for a great time!

This year,2025 it was our 2nd visit to Azaya. The best destination, hospitality, ambience, food and clean rooms.. thank you Azaya for making our trip so memorable and yummy pastry on my birthday celebration 🎂

Great place, very scenic and peaceful. It is my second time here! Lovely rooms and facilities including the beautiful pool. Clean room , polite staff. Mohan,one of the cleaning staff did a good job at cleaning the room.

Beautiful resort, big property, beach is directly accesible, food was also good.
Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Azaya is a beautiful beach-facing property, newly built with modern rooms, updated fittings, and well-designed washrooms. We stayed here for our daughter’s birthday, and the team made it special with complimentary room décor and a delicious cake. The food is excellent—though the breakfast buffet has a limited spread, every dish is spot on. The pool is well maintained, equipped with safety tubes for kids, and the property is just a minute’s walk from Benaulim beach. Overall, it’s a pleasant, family-friendly stay offering great comfort and value for money. We truly enjoyed our time here.
