Our walking group of 37 members booked the Kingswood Hotel for 3 nights in March 26. The hotel was spotless and obviously recently redecorated throughout. The rooms were lovely as were the public areas. We had a diner B&B package and had an excellent 3-course meal every night. Nice choices on the menu and all beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful with Steve doing his best to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Mirshad & Rajeen were managing behind the scenes ensuring a smooth service. Finally my thanks for Catherine and Liz on reception who were particually helpful in setting up the whole experience for such a large group. I'm sure most of us will be back to the Kingswood.
The situation couldn’t be faulted, all the staff were friendly and thoughtful. Bar man remembered the 2nd night what we’d ordered the night before and was very thoughtful and chatty
N/A
There was plenty of choice and flexibility for breakfast. The staff, particularly Rajeen, were so incredibly accommodating, allowing me to decorate the room for my partners birthday, getting him a gift and putting balloons in the breakfast room, giving us cake and extra towels if we asked and answering any questions, even bringing us a fan late at night before the staff finished to make sure we were cool enough. Honestly any questions or requests I had were consistently met with kindness, a desire to please and a clear great level of detail and care. The room was absolutely perfect, wonderful view and loved the sound of the sea, the shower was so hot and lovely, the room was nice and clean and when asked, we got extra biscuits on room cleaning. It’s in the small details. Honestly such a magical first holiday for us I couldn’t be happier !
The double duvet were two single duvets zipped up the middle which at times was a little scratchy but outside of that, everything was just amazing.
Breakfast and staff were lovely
Only disappointment was the fact that we were on the top floor
Breakfast, double bedroom
I stayed in a single breadroom which was tough, especially in the hot weather. The double room was great!
Relaxed clean and pleasant atmosphere good food.
Young people also appreciated it.
Noisy gulls at the back constantly
The staff were so friendly and helpful, it felt like nothing was too much to ask. We went for my husbands birthday and our first wedding anniversary and we were given a free upgrade when we arrived. The room was lovely, really comfy bed, nice soap in the bathroom. The balcony was perfect to sit and take in the view. Breakfast was delicious, all good quality food, and the staff were also very friendly and hospitable at breakfast. We didn’t have to book a time slot which we liked as we wanted to see how we felt in the morning. We would have loved to have been able to stay longer!!
Would have been a nice touch to have a fridge in the bedroom for fresh milk for the hot drinks!
We stayed in the town house which was better than expected parking outside the door fully equipped with everything and quite good communication with hotel easy booking in and out
One thing a hand rail for the steps leading into the property
Heel fijn.
Niets buiten de koffie kwaliteit.
Comfortable rooms, and general spaces, friendly staff, great location
Nothing
15 members of our local pétanque club had their Christmas meal at The Kingswood this evening. Our table was nicely decorated and the food was hot and tasty. In particular, the service provided by Mirshad and his colleagues was excellent. Everyone agreed it was a delightful evening.
Lovely hotel right beside the sea. Great arrangement of residents’ facilities including longe and dining room.
The problem for me is that the bedroom was tiny with no room for suitcases and the en-suite was minute. The sink was far too small to shave in comfortably- about the size of a tea cup!
