Came here to try what the capsule hotel is. Not straightforward to find as the hostel is on 20th floor of the residential building, but with the help of local security guys (who didn't speak much English but were eager to help) I found it relatively quickly. The hostel manager/owner spoke not much more English, and asked me for a payment despite me trying to explain that my booking is already paid, but once I've managed all the VPNs and Google Translate to work on the next day, we could solve this misunderstanding. The room contains several plastic capsules stacked in 2 levels (thanks to the owner lady I got the lower window one), small but all clean; I expected something more nice than just a plain plastic box for this price though. The biggest problem was the air conditioning - on my arrival it was off, and it's already hot in Changsha in the middle of May! Luckily it was on in the evening, otherwise I'd already feel scammed. I'm ok about fan rooms even in hotter countries, as long as it's cheap, but this place was just slightly cheaper than a/c private room, and waking up every day due to a/c being off in the morning wasn't too pleasant - that's my main complaint. The area is near the central railway and between two metro stations, there are many supermarkets in the area, and Wuyi Square is 3 metro stations away. On the way to railway station there's a bus going to the airport, which I didn't try though as I wanted to try Maglev on arrival, but was leaving by train.
