Everything was fine.
There was no gym or pool that was operational.
Location is good and the staff is very friendly.
Nairobi is a little cold and they don't provide bathroom slippers, no kitchen basics like tealeaves, salt yet these are important especially at check-in time since they don't have a restaurant.
Friendly staff. Laundry facilities are available for a reasonable price. Access to the city and highway connections.
Poor mattress due to my poor back issues. Otherwise okay for a normal person. I also wish they had on facility restaurant for meals especially breakfast.
Location
The apartment is not collecting dollar cash and I have to go and deposit the money in the bank account
It was difficult to find the person at the reception desk. They were always gone. After traveling from USA for hours, it was disappointing to discover that the property did not provide the basic cooking stuff like salt or sugar before one settles in and figures out the shops and things like that. I would urge owner to provide the bear minimum as a welcome for the first night or so. That will make a difference.
Lack of reception staff.
Clean and efficient
Location and staff
Bed, water heater problem, TV channels not desirable, WiFi not stable at all.
I loved the fact there was a full kitchen with more cupboards than you could possibly use. The kitchen equipment was basic and the pans weren't designed for electric hobs, but it worked fine and I'm sure they would have supplied more on request. Everything worked and was very clean; plenty of towels and a water dispenser (KSH 300 to refill) and enough cups/plates. The bed was firm, which suits me but may be too hard for some people and bedlinen was good quality. Tons of cupboards although there could have been more coat hangers. Bathroom nice with good water pressure although I had to ask for soap. The sitting area was nice with a good range of sockets for working, I could easily bring colleagues in. It's a great area too, quiet but only 5 minutes walk from an enormous mall, where there is also a range of food outlets and a massive Carrefour.
As with many other serviced apartments, it would be nice to have basics like salt/sugar/tea/coffee available. I bring my own but it's appreciated when these are there. The fridge was dying noisily when I arrived and died completely the second evening, but couldn't be replaced until the following morning - desk staff were very helpful but obviously knew it was on its way out, so it should have been replaced sooner. That gave me stress as I'd cooked a curry and had purchased a range of dairy products. The apartment overall was quite dark and many windows faced internal corridors. The pool was full of algae and had obviously not been maintained at all - I'm really not fussy about where I swim but drew the line at this one.
