The rooms were very clean and well appointed.
The staff were faultless in their professionalism.
There was no air-conditioning and the room was small.
Our three-night stay at The Moorland Hotel was thoroughly enjoyable. The location is simply stunning, with beautiful views across Dartmoor and easy access to the surrounding countryside. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and well maintained throughout our stay.
The food was excellent, with a varied menu and consistently high standards at both breakfast and dinner. What really stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Almost everyone we encountered was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely committed to making guests feel at home.
Overall, this is a well-run establishment in a fantastic setting, and we would happily return in the future.
It is genuinely difficult to find anything significant to criticise. No hotel is perfect, but any minor issues we encountered were very small and did not affect our enjoyment of the stay. If anything, some areas could perhaps benefit from a little modernisation over time, but this is a minor observation rather than a complaint.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.
Location, beds, brrakfast
No airco. I wonder how people hold up in the heat. The building itself is warm on sunny days.
We made sure to book dog friendly rooms and we were delighted with them. Everything clean and well managed. The dog friendly rooms open directly onto the gardens. A patio table and chairs outside the French doors allow you to enjoy the fresh air while keeping an eye on your dog. There was even a welcome pack for her! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the hotel feels inviting and purposeful.
Lovely hotel good food
Location was not to my liking
Beautiful peaceful surroundings. Very quiet.
They may have been short staffed but service was very slow.
Bardzo ładny butikowy hotel, położony w bardzo malowniczej okolicy. Pyszne angielskie śniadanie.
The decor and rooms were lovely. Location fantastic for a walk up on to the moor and Tor.
Excellent Dinner with very good service. Good breakfasts. Lovely restaurant looking over garden. Very comfortable room.
Nothing that comes too mind.
