Richards Motel Courtyard

First of all there were hidden fees like property fees, $100 and also security deposit which was expected at the property. But the location was awesome and courtyard was very spacious only thing I had a stove that was never working and the office is 2-3 blocks away. Also air conditioning is only in the bedroom

No hot water in in room 8/24/25

This hotel operates across 7 locations — two within walking distance, others a short drive away. However, you may book one address and then be redirected to another, being told it's just a few blocks — in reality, it’s a 7–10 min walk, which is frustrating, especially after a long flight.

At check-in, they require a $50 cash deposit. If you don’t have cash, you must withdraw it from their ATM with a fee. When I requested the refund, they tried giving it in $1 bills. I refused and had to walk to another office to receive larger bills.

Room issues:

AC worked the same on all modes and kept shutting off.

Shower knobs were loose; one was barely attached.

Toilet was tiny — uncomfortable for tall/big guests.

Freezer had no door and was broken.


At night, other guests were watching movies or playing loud music near the rooms with no respect for others. The overall guest behavior was poor and unsettling.

The only positive experience was the woman at the front desk who kindly gave me a room close by upon request.

If you're on a very tight budget, this place may work, but don’t expect comfort or good service. I cannot recommend it and believe even 1 star is generous.

Great Property

I love the courtyard and makes you feel like home when you walk into the room the rooms are very clean it's just everything about the courtyard is amazing also front desk once again Sean he's also amazing I love it

Sean, the front desk receptionist, was very kind and communicative. Upgraded our room to an apartment suit which was amazing of him! The suit was very nice and the bed was so comfortable! When checking out the lady receptionist was also kind and sweet. We had no hiccups during our stay. All was great and I will definitely be staying here again when I return! Oh yeah, the plants around the property looked so beautiful and well kept up with!! I’m from Texas so those plants are our house plants. They were thriving and looking lushes.

Been twice love it

The property was great the only thing that I didn’t like was at check in it wasn’t explained that you wouldn’t be able to cook because there no cook wear and no utensils and the smoke detector kept going off because the oven hadn’t been used or cleaned I feel there should be ne cookware for those who want to save money by cooking rather then eating out.

A delightful little family owned property. A spacious room with a huge shower, appliances in case you were staying for a week or more. We were only there one night, and didn’t get a chance to try the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful.

That was the most fabulous place that I had the opportunity to stay in overnight. I would love ❤️ to live in a condo just like that. What a place to visit!!!

The property was clean & the STAFF was perfect

There are multiple locations for this property, which made it a little annoying to try to get there. Rooms are a little outdated, but clean. Area of where I stayed was fine, quiet. Female staying alone, so if course a little on edge, but overall, it was fine.

An absolute zoo...stopped into the main office...got sent down the street to another office....had to go 5 blocks in back of that office in a sketchy neighborhood to a third property to get to the room. Dirty room with terrible mattress, extremely hot. Took an hour to cool off. Then no hot water. Maintenance came and said the pilot light was off and it would take a while to warm.up. Gpoot up the next morning for a shower....no hot water. Had to go to another building to get my $50 damage deposit back. Would not credit me for no shower at check out....a truly terrible experience

This an older, well kept property. The room was very clean. We could have used a few more pillows and some updated towels. There was zero hot water for an early morning shower

This is a nice place with a pool available. Very clean.
