Wonderful place to stay for a special occasion - the staff were kind, professional and friendly. The building is magnificent and our room was large and comfortable, with the added bonus of our own private patio. Breakfast was delicious and they even provided a birthday brownie for my partner without being asked, which made him feel really special.
Despite being an accessible room, the bath was very inaccessible, with no grab handles. It was strange that blue badge holders still need to pay £10 for parking, given that much of Norwich offers free blue badge parking. There was a dimmer switch for the main lights, but it just caused them to strobe.
The room was nice and prime location.
As with most hotels, could hear people in other rooms and someone walking about upstairs back and forth?
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a large comfortable room in the centre of Norwich and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
I would have liked bath robes to be available and a couple of chairs to sit at the table to eat - there is plenty of room. We ordered a Indian take away to eat in the room in the evening and I ended up sitting on the floor not wanting to sit with it on my lap on the sofa or bed in case I made a mess. We were planning to have breakfast in the room but the lack of chairs to sit at the table was the reason we decided against this. The breakfast was very pleasant in the breakfast room.
The hotel is gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were professional, very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with incredible choice, local produce used, nothing too much effort for staff. My husband uses a walking aid and access was no pproblem, well thought out. The whole place is curated and historic. It felt very luxurious and the location right in town is perfect. A wonderful break.

I have stayed here before and it's my hotel of choice when I visit Norwich. The room (room 2) was beautiful, the bed gloriously comfortable, the location great and the staff lovely. Breakfast is superb. I love the historic ambience.
It should have been easier to contact reception when I couldn't turn up the heating.

The breakfast was cooked to order 😋 🙌 no buffet type breakfast here ! The peanut butter granola bars were absolutely delicious. Hotel was extremely clean and the bed was like I slept on a cloud all night.
Staff were the best 👌 an absolute credit to the hotel.
