Very disappointed.
I sent an email a few days before arriving wanting to confirm that one of your staff was going to be met at the airport but got no reply.
I then tried to phone but got no reply.
In the end one of the staff from the hotel that I was staying in Chitwan managed to contact your hotel and was notified that you were closed.
Just after that I got an email welcoming me to your hotel.
I could not and will not recommend you as a place to stay
At the end of the 1st day (after one round of cleaning), I think a window was left open (in the air conditioned room). As it was behind the curtains, I did not notice and the AC ran the entire night until I noticed the next morning. Moreover, because the window was open, mosquitoes had gotten in and that night I could barely sleep from all the mosquito bites.
I really enjoyed my stay in hotel sarowar.Every thing is Soo good .Clean rooms and hygienic pool.staafs are so friendly and helping Ms Nancy always smiling and friendly .Mr raj always helping big thanks to them.
I recently stayed one night at Hotel Sarowar in Pokhara and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. I loved how close the hotel is to Lake Side—perfect for a relaxing walk or quick access to local attractions. The highlight of my stay was definitely the dining experience on the rooftop. Enjoying a delicious meal with a stunning view of the mountains was truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Pokhara!
Great location and the roof top views! I also liked they had parking on backside of the building as well.
It was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location is very very good for exploring the lakeside area. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy and affordable place to stay in Pokhara!
I stayed at Hotel Sarowar recently and it hit all the right notes. The rooms are spacious, clean, and actually designed for comfort (yes, the hot showers are real and reliable!). It’s a modern place that doesn’t try too hard but gets the basics right—and then goes a little beyond.
What really stood out was the location. You’re close enough to Lakeside to walk to the shops, cafés, and the lake itself, but far enough to get some peace and quiet when you want it. The best of both worlds.
Then there’s the rooftop. I happened to go up just after a rainstorm—clouds clearing, fresh air, the Annapurnas starting to peek out again and the majestic city view from that height. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop scrolling and just breathe for a bit.
I also appreciated their eco-friendly approach. It’s clear they’ve put thought into sustainability, how they have solar panels all over their roof. It feels good to support a place that’s trying to do better for the environment, not just the guests.
Looking at other reviews before booking, I noticed a lot of people talked about the friendly staff—and they were right. Everyone I interacted with was polite and helpful without being overbearing. It feels like they care, not like they're following a script.
If you're looking for a place in Pokhara that combines comfort, great views, and a little bit of purpose, Hotel Sarowar is it.
The bedsheet was not clean and the wifi is so bad and the electric sometime close
Quiet, don’t hear barking dogs! Bbq on the roof top was very good! The cook Jenish, Sagan and Rakesh were great! Spa massage.
Balcony is pigeon paradise and window doesn’t close properly, smokers in the next room and smell comes in through to our room.
