Liyela Retreat Maldives

Stylist & decent hotel, very clean & cozy stay. Hotel owner Lola was super nice, she's so helpful & always around when we need her, we totally feel like home. We stayed 6 nights this time with Liyela & Lola upgraded us to seaview room with beautiful balcony facing the sea.

They served the most amazing breakfast on Maafushi, beautiful, healthy & so delicious, their coffee is excellent as well, I especially like coffee-co-nut & the one with homemade coconut milk, so delicious. Dinner come in big portion, all fresh & well made, desserts are good too, recommended their homemade coconut ice cream, creamy & nice.

Their rooftop bar has beautiful sunset view, excellent place to be during happy hour. I enjoyed very much my stay with Liyela & haven't had enough, I'll definitely return if I visit Maafushi in the future.

Only one little note - the food is quiet exact, meaning the portions are about medium size, and when breakfast is a lacart - it could be borderline. Comparing to the rest of the island - high quality and tasty food.

Where do I start? Ok, I'll start with the food, as this was exceptional! I've eaten in many top restaurants around the world, and this is on par with most of them. Melbourne is where I now call home, and is arguably the culinary capital of Australia, and this restaurant would fit right in with the best there is. Everything is so fresh, so healthy, so delicious. You certainly won't find anything even remotely close to this on Maafushi, FACT. Now the staff, they are so friendly, and Lola and Shaffa and will go out of their way to help you in whatever you need, they made our stay so comfortable. The rooms are excellent, big balconies overlooking the sea, and amazing bathrooms, super clean too. The beds are very comfortable. The location is also perfect. If you stay anywhere on Maafushi, be sure to make it Liyela Retreat. Thank you Thank you Thank you

部屋はきれい、スタッフは親切、レストランは美味しい。家族で滞在しましたが、とても良いホテルでした。

Ocean Palm Suiteに1泊しました。
ホテルの雰囲気が可愛らしい感じで、全体的にお洒落でした。
部屋はマーフシの海が一望できるバルコニー付きで、部屋も広々としておりバスタブ付き。
残念ながらお湯は温めでした(確認したところ、ソーラー使用の為、天候によるそうです)

スタッフの方々もフレンドリーで親切、素晴らしい眺望にて美味しい食事を取ることができます。
尚、エレベーターはありませんが、このホテルにはかえってない方がいいのかなとも感じました。
家族や大人数向けではありませんが、カップルでマーフシ滞在時には是非オススメしたいホテルです。

Lovely boutique hotel in Maafushi. Friendly staff and fabulous food on the rooftop restaurant. Also, best place to watch the sunset! Note that there is no elevator nor a fridge in the room.

nous avons passés un excellent séjour à cet hôtel. la qualité du service et l'attention du personnel envers les clients est exceptionnel sans oublié Lola la gérante qui a fait preuve d'écoute et de bienveillance à notre égard tout au long du séjour.
nous avons fait le tour de l'île et nous n'avons pas trouvé une aussi bonne cuisine que celle proposé a l'hôtel. l'équipe de cuisine est formidable une mention spéciale pour les desserts.
une terrasse avec une vue imprenable sur la plage et un point de vue pour admirer le coucher du soleil .
l'emplacement est parfait car a proximité de toute commodité. et absolument rien à dire sur la propreté de l'établissement.
nous vous recommandons fortement cet établissement et sans aucune hesitation . vous passerez un bon séjour et vous ne serez pas déçu .

Amaizing new hotel. It is not on the first line but offer you an outstanding ocean view rooms. They also have nice "moon" rooms, but windows are small and there is no sights. So my advise is to take ocean view accommodation. And don't forget to visit their rooftop bar. It's amazing

Pros - Good location, pricing and overall bang for the buck. The food is amazing and in my opinion, the most innovative and high quality dishes you can get on Maafushi. The staff is super-friendly and the rooms are simple, but clean and cute.

Cons - No elevator.

Property was clean good and simple near by beach.only that rooms have no amenities other than tv.no kettle, no intercom ,.free breakfast is also limited and no much option in vegetarian food

We had an excellent stay at Liyela Retreat, whilst celebrating our anniversary. The team of staff were all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to make our visit special. Our room - with crisp, new amenities and modern interior - was stunning, with the property being so close to the beach, as well as shops, restaurants/cafes and water sport facilities. The Australian chef, Alex, created extraordinary dishes everyday - some of the best and freshest meals we’ve tasted whilst dining at the rooftop restaurant - being a fantastic position in which to see the beautiful Maldives sunset each evening, complete with half price sheesha and drinks during their “Happy Hour” from 5pm. We also loved the fact that we weren’t surrounded by hundreds of other guests each day - and, as such, enjoyed the personalised and warm treatment from staff working there. They made it so easy for excursions away from Maafushi, as well as helpful advice for the local island itself. Thank you Liyela - we will be sure to return again.

Very kind and efficient staff. They organized our trip from the airport to the hotel. We had not to weary about anything. Good restaurant and excellent service.

It's very small hotel. There are 16 rooms in 2~3 floors. Staffs are very kind and warm hearted. The room is not filled with luxury stuffs but spacy, simple, clean, bright and has good view. bathroom facilities are good and clean. there is no refrigerator and telephone in the room. 4th floor is roof top restaurant. I think a la carte breakfast is the best in maafushi island. I strongly recommend this hotel if you stay in maafushi.

Liyela Retreat is located right opposite to the beach. We had an amazing sea view room with a cozy balcony and artistic furniture. It was an overall good experience for us. The food they offered was a tad expensive but totally worth it! What was disappointing was that basic amenities like wardrobe facilities, intercom, provision to make tea/coffee in the room, hair dryer, etc were missing.

Liyela was an amazing experience. I picked Liyela because it was close to Male and was 4 star on a island called Maafushi. When we reached the island - we were pleasantly surprised to see Lola the owner welcoming us to the hotel and picking us up personally. The hotel itself has a about 12 or so very well appointed rooms, a restaurant the easily serves the best food on the island and an attention to detail whether it is a special mocktail or an activity is just amazing. More than anything else we were captivated by Lola and teams affection and wanting to do their utmost to please. Like Maldives this place is a really the right place for a relaxing holiday. I recommend it. Cheers.
