Too expensive!
Pros:

The view from the balcony was fantastic. The room was spacious. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is not bad but not in the thick of all activities/entertainment. Decent breakfast. It is walkable to the Station but difficult to carry heavy suitcases and walk there.

Cons:

My husband and I were traveling to 8 countries during this trip. Unfortunately, the trip to Zermatt was not planned well ahead of time and most hotels were fully booked. We chose Basecamp hotel from the available options. It turned out to be the lowest starred ( 2 or 3) hotel of our trip and the most expensive. We paid almost $1400 for two nights. I understand Zermatt is Matterhorn town. What was disappointing was that, on top of this humungous cost, they added a cost to pick us up and drop us back to/from the Station in their own van at a cost again - $44 + a city tax of almost $21!!! Agreed Switzerland is expensive, but the hotel could give their guests complimentary pick up and drop off when they charge you an arm and a leg for the stay there.

Perfekter Aufenthalt mit super sympathischem Personal und Gastgeber.
Pros:

Das Zimmer Nr. 41 hat freie Sicht auf das Matterhorn 🥰. Die Zimmergrösse ist sehr grosszügig. Badezimmer modern.

Cons:

Den Teppichboden fanden wir nicht so „sexy“. Ein schöner, rustikaler Eiche-Parkett- oder Vinylboden hätte uns aus hygienischer Sicht mehr zugesagt.

Zermatt com charme
Pros:

Foi, de longe, o melhor hotel que nos hospedamos em nossa viagem de férias deste ano. Fantástico! Valeu a pena pegar a opção de quarto com vista. Ficamos num quarto super charmoso, com varanda, o banheiro tinha teto de vidro. Tudo muito limpo! O café da manhã foi excelente também. Solicitamos o transfer na chegada e saída entre o hotel o a estação de trem. Foi tudo muito bem. Consideramos a localização do hotel muito boa, há algumas quadras do agito de Zermatt.

Tudo foi ótimo, nada a colocar aqui.

Lovely cozy hotel in zermatt, affordable in zermatt terms.
Pros:

Very quaint hotel that fit our family of 5 in one room well. Balcony room with clear view of Matterhorn. Great included breakfast with mountain town vibes in the eating area. Staff was helpful with any questions regarding activities. Absolutely would stay here again.

Cons:

Rooms were slightly hot, check out time was early at 10:30.

Gute Location im schönen Zermatt.

Das BaseCamp hat für uns für einen Kurz-Skiurlaub die perfekte Lage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Hotel-Einrichtung im Allgemeinbereich ist zweckdienlich, die Zimmer renoviert und etwas im alpen-chique eingerichtet und sehr grosszügig (entspricht den Bildern der Website). Das Frühstücksangebot ist vielseitig und ausreichend, der perfekte Start in den Tag!

Cons:

Es wäre schon wenn die Teppiche in den Zimmern durch Holz- oder Plattenböden ersetzt werden (Hygiene/Allergiker) und die etwas in die Jahre gekommene Sauna (das Angebot ist immerhin vorhanden) entweder ersetzt wird oder Platz für einen erweiterten Skiraum macht, denn als Wellness-Hotel würde ich das Basecamp nicht buchen, es bietet andere Qualitäten!

Everything. Starting with contact to arrange transport from the rail station, to ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. The view from our room of the Matterhorn was amazing.

A cozy heart of Zermatt with the peace and quiet of being in the more residential area.
Pros:

Friendly staff (seriously), spacious rooms, wonderful breakfast, and delightful coffee and cake break. Also the “Base Camp” was more than an interior decorating theme, but a cozy-chic design and honor of the owner’s many mountain adventures
