Château Du Bois Guibert

Hôtel de caractère, chambre tres spacieuse, nous avons passé un bon séjour. Le petit-déjeuner, avec des produits locaux, était également très bon. Mention spéciale à la jeune femme qui gère l'accueil et le petit-déjeuner ; en plus d'être efficace, elle est également toujours souriante.

Staff very friendly. Food was quite basic and not very tasty.

Location suggestiva, dal momento che è un piccolo castello costruito prima della rivoluzione francese. Ottima la cena e la colazione a buffet. Consigliatissimo !

Stopped overnight on our way down to our own place in the Charente. Plenty of parking around the chateau. Very pleasant staff and a lovely friendly German Shepperd dog to welcome you. Room was very clean, spacious and a most comfy bed and pillows. We had a lovely dinner in the evening but wanted to get on the road early in the morning so passed on the breakfast, so can't comment on that. Lastly, nice decking area to sit out on in the evenings.

Matthieu was an excellent host who made us feel very welcome. He also is an excellent chef, and bartender (his collection of gin was amazing). Our room was very comfortable.

Lovely hotel, Mathew goes out of his way to make you feel very welcome.
Stayed for half board, room and food excellent.
Will always try to make a stop here when travelling this part of France

Thus is a fairly nice place but not near anything to do (tiny area of houses and surrounded by factories!) The owner Matthew, who both checked us in and was the server at the breakfast buffet, was abrupt both days and is not very welcoming at all. We are a professional, responsible couple and cannot imagine why he was so preoccupied and anxious/nervous, to a degree that it was not comfortable. We travel often and, I am very sorry to report that were surprised and somewhat hurt by his behavior - no traveler should be greeted or treated by a host who behaves like that.

The chateau is a little gem. Beautifully decorated, rooms all beautifully furnished. Food excellent and Matthew and his staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent location and certainly an experience.

This place is a gem the rooms where lovely our room was spacious and very comfy the beds were also very comfy, the bathroom was also a good size. The owner was lovely and very accommodating and we couldn’t have been looked after better. Ideal if you are travelling with a dog. Breakfast was plentiful and the charcuterie board in the evening was excellent and substantial
