Good but does not live up to the Aloft brand promise.
Pros:

Location was great for my trip. Very spacious rooms & public areas. Comfortable beds. Coffee was very good. Toiletries smell and feel luxurious. Good shower pressure. Generous bottled water replenished daily. Very good prices due to the ME conflict. Direct access to the city centre mall and short walk (through the shopping centre) to the metro.

Cons:

It is trying to be too trendy. Style over substance, not aging particularly well. I have stayed here a number of times over the years. The Housekeeping and Maintainance are less than they were in the past. The shower & bathroom was in need of a deep clean rather than the superficial daily cleaning schedule. Surfaces felt grubby.
Toiletries, two body wash and hair conditioner but no shampoo?? in the shower. Shower holder bracket mouldy and shelf hanging loosely.
The lights in the wardrobe could not be turned off. The auto switches are not engaged when the doors are closed with irritating light escaping into (desired) darkened sleep space. Not to omit it is energy wasteful.
The breakfast was lacking effort. Though the basics were all covered reasonably rather than at a good four star standard. The bar is huge and soulless.
