Knowing they were fully booked, they could have accommodated my need to cancel & give the room to someone who was waiting - instead of charging me for an empty room!
Loved the view from our 4th floor window! It was awesome. Our dog loved it too! :) The bathrooms were cool and the bed was so comfy--we really needed a great night's sleep and we got it.
1. The woman who checked us in encouraged us to choose "contact-less" checkout because "its easier on everyone not to have to talk to each other." Then, the keys she gave us didn't work. I went downstairs, she thought it was weird that I couldn't make the key worked, reprogrammed them, I went up, they still didn't work. I sent my husband back down the third time and they sent a tech guy up. We also had no shower gel in the room (didn't realize until that morning, we were in a hurry). When I told a person at the front desk, she said, "oh, I'll note that." No apology. I feel like if I spend this much on one night they could be a little more friendly? Or when the keys repeatedly didn't work, offer an upgrade? Or discount for future? It was a bit strange to me.
One of the biggest surprises during check-in was that there was no front desk staff—everything was handled through a self-service kiosk. It felt very futuristic and the process was quick and convenient.
The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable.
The only drawback was the thermostat. While it seemed quite advanced, it wasn't very intuitive to use, and there were no instructions or a user manual available. A simple guide would make the experience even better.
Room was large.
Toilets were dirty. There was no kleenex in the holder.
Really nice hotel
The shower was disgusting. They need to scrub it. It was brown all the way around the edges.
Nice hotel, beds and pillows not the most comfortable though
Everything. From the front desk staff, the room, the breakfast. It was all wonderful.
The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast was great. From setup and display to how it tasted. We will definitely be booking there again.
The only thing that I would say I didn't like is the bathroom door. It should not be a barn style door.
This is a great spot to stay right in downtown Bend. It's close to all the great stuff including OSU. You can walk to a lot of the great spots down around the Deschutes brewery. The restaurant next door serves Mexican food and it's delicious. It's a family restaurant but they have a small bar as well. The beds are great and all of the staff that I was in contact with were excellent and very friendly
