Good business hotel with good food and gym
Had some technical issues with lights and plumbing during my stay, which was very frustrating. Could've been handled better by the hotel management.

Stayed a total of 3 non-consecutive (2+1) nights.
The property is well located about a 15-min drive from the airport, and reasonably quiet. A complimentary airport shuttle is provided.
There are almost always lines at the front desk. Check-in is extremely slow, with each person spending 5-10 minutes.
Rooms are spacious and clean, with well located power sockets, Amenities include electric kettle and mini-fridge. Comfortable beds and pillows.
Bathroom with hot water and good water pressure in the shower.
Wifi worked well.
Excellent breakfast buffet starting at 06:00.
Multiple power outages, but the generator usually kicks in in less than a minute.
As for the negatives:
1) Problems are not addressed promptly or at all. Upon arrival one of the lights in my room was flickering. I notified the staff a total of 5 times over 4.5 hours, starting 5 min after check-in at 14:05. Eventually a maintenance person came to check it and said there was nothing to do, and it could only be turned off (the room was already dimly lit). On the other hand, one of the bathroom lights couldn't be turned off, and stayed on all night. Eventually I was moved to another room the next day.
2) Staff lacks adequate training. The first time I went to breakfast, they didn't have me on the breakfast list, even though breakfast was included in my reservation. They told me to go check with the front desk (which was located on another floor, and always had a line). It seemed they couldn't be bothered to call themselves, even though they had a phone handy.
In summary, the hotel is mostly fine, but the staff is not well trained, and service is far below what's expected at a Hilton hotel.
My first time in PNG and was nervous prior to visiting for a work trip. Felt very safe at the Hilton, Good quality rooms, good food. Special shout out to Serah seating our team at the buffet each morning for her warm greetings each morning and great service.

Great coffee, wonderful service from the girls and possibly the best jam doughnut in the southern hemisphere … highly recommend a pit stop at the Host
