Poor experience. Not worth it.

It was available on short notice.

Cons:

The air conditioning did not work throughout the entire night. There were many mosquitoes in the room, making it extremely unpleasant. Furthermore, when we arrived a bath towel was on the floor of the bathroom. The property has not been maintained well. Even the walls and lifts are in a state of disrepair.

Marriot OMR Chennai should do better than this !

Cons:

The food was a let down. A large part of an experience at a 4 star hotel and above, is in its dining experience. This is the first Marriot that we've stayed in where the food is a 2 on 5.
The chicken dishes, continental and Indian both, were literally disastrous ...multiple times.
Something as basic as a tomato soup was nothing like tomato soup. Not sure what recipe they follow.
We chose to have our lunch and dinner at other restaurants instead of at the hotel.
I really think it would help if the team went and sampled the food in other Marriots in the country to help them understand where they need to improve.

The buffet breakfast was the saving grace very honestly. Not a great variety, but I'd give it a 3.75 on 5. The bakery products were excellent...a 5 on 5 there.

Its on the main road

Cons:

Ordinary facilities, this hotel looks like any other budget hotel. Not up to the mark with Marriott name. Used cheap interiors and fittings in the room. Things are not working properly.

I had a very good peaceful and trouble free stay, and will surely stay at your hotel again.
Pros:

Best was the friendly and helpful staff, every single person. All staff is very friendly and helpful, smiling faces. I felt very craed for and looked after.Food was good and choices also available for people who like to eat healthy. It was clean and neat, which is important. Also during my stay, it was quiet and peaceful. Nice view from my window.

Cons:

As a senior citizen, the size of the room and bathroom was a bit small for me. But this was not a very big problem. Some items (kettle, intercom) were not working. But, on the other hand, as soon as I requested, the kettle was changed and intercom was repaired. So that again is a big plus point.
As I said these were small issues, not a bit problem and easily and quickly were rectified where possible.
