The location is amazing! The hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is cooked to order and is superb. I would 100% recommend it to anyone who would like to visit this property. The beds are very comfortable and after a long day of hiking, it is much appreciated.

Absolutely fantastic, what a wonderful place to stay. Large bed, luxurious bedding, lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The whole place is to an extremely high standard of architectural thought and build, amazing.
The owner was super nice and welcoming, gave us tips on where to go for walks or hikes. Room was spotlessly clean and cosy. There was a great breakfast too. We will definitely come back again.
A perfect stay! Amazing comfy, cosy and massive bed which gave a perfect night sleep ahead of us climbing Scafell Pike which was really easy to get to. Super clean, loved the modern touches but also the traditional parts which remained from the barn. Breakfast was amazing and loved that it catered to vegetarian and non-dairy options without having to ask for this. We loved watching the alpacas from our bedroom. The freshly made cakes each day were such a treat and tasted beautiful. Only 10 mins drive from the beach, and some lovely restaurants like The Wild Olive. Can’t think of any faults!

Amazing stay in a beautiful hotel. Would highly recommend. The attention to detail was outstanding. The bed was very comfy and the free cake was delicious.
A great room plus luxurious bathroom including a huge walk-in shower plus separate bath, the layout of this converted barn was well thought out, and the facilities were top-notch.
Very friendly staff and owners. The car battery failed, and the owners kindly came to pick us up from where we were stranded.
Just around the corner of Wasdale, with one of the best hiking options and dramatic scenery to be found in Lake District/England.

Love, thought and care have gone into everything here. Faith and her team were exceptional - combining diligence with genuine friendliness. Very comfortable and peaceful room (great shower too!). Nice to sit in private outside area listening to just housematins and distant sheep. All the breakfast options I tried were delicious.
The immediate area is quiet rolling farmland with some lovely walks, and upper Wasdale, just along the road, has the most dramatic scenery in England.
This stay was to be a one-off treat for me but I'm now planning a return visit!
