Pros:

Soggiorno magnifico! Il titolare gentilissimo, amichevole e alla mano. Le camere erano pulite e molto comode. La colazione super, abbondante, prodotti freschi e buoni. La struttura è a due passi dal mare, dalla metromare, e dalla fermata dell'autobus, rendendo gli spostamenti veloci e pratici. Niente da dire, se non che ci torneremo senz'altro.

Sicuramente il punto forte del Nizza Hotel è Roby il gestore! Una persona molto alla mano, disponibile e piena di entusiasmo. Ha reso il nostro mini soggiorno speciale sia con la sua gentilezza che con le nostre chiacchierate insieme. Consiglio a tutti questo posto se vogliono trovare autenticità e cura degli ospiti.

I was very impressed with the hotel. Firstly, the atmosphere and all the little details made me feel at home. Secondly, the hotel is close to the beaches and the promenade, yet located on a quiet street. I especially appreciate the breakfast and the cool terrace, which was a pleasant way to spend the evening after the scorching Italian sun. The room was spacious and cosy, and the service was beyond reproach. Rob (and his adorable dog) was a wonderful host, charming, always ready to help, answer questions, and simply make conversation. Thanks to the staff, who made us feel like we were visiting Italian friends, not just at a hotel!

The owner is a very kind and friendly person. There is the possibility to park in a private parking area located not far from the hotel. The hotel itself is practically in the city center, and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach.

Cons:

I chose this hotel after reading many positive reviews, but unfortunately the cleanliness of my bathroom was below expectations. I only stayed one night, as I was traveling further south in Italy and was simply looking for a budget place with good reviews. However, there were a few hairs in the bathroom, most likely left from previous guests. The bathroom window handle was placed so high that even with my height of 185 cm, I still had trouble closing it while standing on a chair (I wanted to close it because insects were getting into the room). It looked as if someone had just made a small opening through the wall to provide some ventilation instead of installing a proper vent.

I’m not sure if this was an issue with this particular room or if the cleaning staff were just having a busy day, but it was a bit disappointing. It’s also worth noting that the photos of the room in the listing seem to show it right after renovation, while in reality the rooms are a bit worn out – with some visible scratches and marks on the furniture. This didn’t bother me too much, but it’s something worth mentioning for future guests. (I’ve attached four photos to my review, although I’m not sure if Booking will upload them, as I had some issues with that when posting a review for another hotel)
