The Driftwood Hotel

Hello, please can you respond to my messages. Apparently, this message goes through to the head office which was confirmed by the manager of the hotel. I do my believe this one bit. I expect a reply please from wherever this message goes to.

Reason for a refund;

The owner of the hotel said they would sort out a refund via the management due to myself giving back truthful feedback about the reason why I didn’t wish to stay in there with my 6 year old.

The hotel was a mess, no kettle but did have cups and tea/coffee. Drawers were a mess inside. Adults smoking cannabis outside. The windows were filthy, the windows didn’t close. No heating in the room - freezing cold. Cobwebs hanging off the ceiling. Door didn’t lock from inside. The room we were meant to have wasn’t ready on arrival, even though myself and my daughter had given them 2 hours notice that we arrived and parked up.
We wasn’t put in the hotel we had booked due to the room not being ready, we was transferred next door which again was absolutely filthy and the downstairs was being refurbed - not child friendly at all.
Excuse by a gentleman were that the hotel was having a new refurb.

We got moved into another hotel after I handed my keys in. Again, filthy hotel, excuse was that the manager only started her job 3 weeks ago and that they had no cleaner. Loud residents. Residents smoking canabis outside again. Manager up until very late with residents - talking loud. Again, not child friendly.

I will be leaving a review very soon via all review platforms - I would appreciate a refund due to this situation please.

THE HOTEL WAS A MESS DAMP BROKEN BEDS MUCKY FLOORS DIRTY BEDDING ROOF ROTTENING NO HEATING UTTER DIRTY

Didnt even stay the night checked out

Rat droppings

Bedbugs coffee stained cups

Toilet sellotaped to the wall

When we walked in smelt really bad staff ignored the message I sent the heaters were broke very cold in the room and when trying to sleep plugs didn’t work in room mold everywhere wallpaper coming undone even the wall inside was mold never again no towels so couldn’t even get a shower bathroom was even dirty just the floors were all wet

Everything, owners off their heads and pissed, absolutely filthy wouldn’t let an animal stay there, damp everywhere, hole in ceiling, broken beds, no heating, the place hummed. Everywhere was filthy not been cleaned at all.

Everything starting from staff till the cleaner and also the size of the rooms(I mean rooms,not what I received there)

Dirty . Beds looked made and clean but floor was dirty , rubbish under the beds , ball of hair on the floor .

The hotel rooms was absolutely disgusting skirting boards was grafted
Shower was broken
The bed my child had to sleep in was vile no board underneath bed was ripped
The bedroom smelt vile because of all the rubbish round the back it absolutely stunk
Every night a couple upstairs pissed-up blasting music till 3-4 on a morning
Windows was knackered no saftey for children
Door locks aren’t right secure either on bedrooms

Everything

Amazing service and amazing people would definitely stay again

Cold and old fashioned wasn’t very clean shower stank of smokers

Uncomfortable beds and shared toilet/showers

Nothing

Extremely messy no running hot water no heating no towels no Handwash cigarette ash and drug residue on sides
