Really nice rooms.
Pros:

Rooms were really nice and modern, bath was lovely and heated floors in the bathroom were a real treat. We missed breakfast as it didnt start until 8am and had an early check out, but Michelle organised some Granola and yogurt for us.

Clean, Homely, Inviting & Exceptional service and care for guests.
Pros:

The breakfast included was absolutely amazing and genuinely one of the highlights of our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean, fresh and comfortable, and everything felt recently renovated. I loved that the property still had the charm and character of a historic building while offering a modern, fresh and well maintained feel.

There was also plenty of on-site parking, which was a huge bonus, and the location was fantastic, super close to Hobart CBD while still feeling like a relaxing place to stay.

Honestly, this place exceeded our expectations and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about booking. We will be staying here again!

Cons:

Honestly, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we were genuinely sad to leave! Just beware some rooms have disability access bathroom (with heated floors) which had no impact on our stay.

Beautiful lodge.
Pros:

The artwork throughout the lodge was beautiful, and we enjoyed reading through the book.

Cons:

Unfortunately the scrambled eggs had eggshell in it on day one. On day two the staff were locked out of the kitchen and we ended up leaving without the included breakfast. Very disappointed that all we got was a “sorry”.

Beautiful building but is starting to get a little run down.

Stunning building and location

Cons:

Was disappointed that we did not get our bed made and the bathroom was full of mould. The curtains were hanging off the rods and the room was just a little bit run down.

Gorgeous place to stay.
Pros:

Maylands Lodge is gorgeous. The bed was comfortable, the room delightful, the shower was hot and I loved the warmed bathroom floor! The art in the hotel is very well curated and there are a lot of hang out spaces with comfortable chairs. I loved wandering in the gardens. Breakfast was delicious. Don't overthink it, stay here.

Pros:

The building has a beautiful classical exterior, while the interior combines classic and modern styles. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious, and the on-site parking was very convenient. The staff were attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service.
