Wonderful time.
Pros:

Beautiful spacious accommodation, fit for a weekend away or even a week's stay.
The inclusive breakfast was great. The staff were welcoming.
Free Wifi was a bonus. Beautiful gardens. Great location, travelled by Uber and was close enough to the CBD, but far enough away that you would think you were somewhere else.

Cons:

Simply a design note, the wardrobes in the room don't fit in with the rest of the space. it could be better utilised.

The atmosphere and history of the building create a truly enjoyable and memorable stay.
Pros:

Beautiful historic building a mid-19th century mansion. What stood out most was how many original interior details have been carefully preserved, which really gives the place a unique character. Special thanks for maintaining this heritage so thoughtfully.

Cons:

Dust should be cleaned more thoroughly throughout the property, including behind the TVs in some places it was noticeably thick.

However, the main issue was the breakfast. It felt very basic and underwhelming: mostly bacon, bread, and decorative elements like mayonnaise patterns on the plate. There was a clear lack of proper protein options and fresh vegetables. Overall, the breakfast quality does not match the standard and character of the building.

Impressed beyond words, our only regret was not staying long enough

Maylands Lodge was absolutely magnificent! A beautiful historic building where we felt like royalty. The Hunter room was beyond our expectations with view to the beautiful gardens below and Mount Wellington.

Beautiful Lodge with Stunning Views and Amazing Breakfast
Pros:

Maylands Lodge is a beautiful property with stunning views. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the city, which made the stay feel extra special. We also went up to the third level of the lodge to take in the panoramic city views, which were absolutely lovely.

The room included access to Netflix, which was a nice and thoughtful touch for relaxing in the evening.

I cannot rate the breakfast highly enough - it was easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. The quality was exceptional and a wonderful way to start the day.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a place I would happily recommend.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum Hobart in einem wunderschönen Garten, Großes Zimmer, Bett sehr breit mit guter Matratze, sehr freundliches Personal

Cons:

Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig, Teppichbelag Hygiene?? Dusche bräuchte eine Abtrennung oder einen Duschvorhang, sehr schwierig nicht das gesamte Badezimmer unter Wasser zu bringen.

A beautiful place to stay with all the comforts.
Pros:

The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was lovely to have access to the verandah with seating overlooking the garden. The bathroom was huge, with a great shower and bath.

Cons:

The toilet flush was not great, it took a few goes to work.
We were disappointed with breakfast, there was no choice for a lighter breakfast. A fruit and yoghurt option or bercher muesli would have been great. Having said that though, the eggs were cooked very well.
