EKHO Ella

Ella is a dream and this property was so nice! The whole ambiance is beautiful and calming. They even have a garden on the premises. Our room has a magnificent view great for watching the sunrise. I opted to watch from outside near the garden. It was so magical to watch the Sun rise while listening to the birds serenade in the background and faint Buddhist chants growing gradually louder as the Sun came up! I highly recommend this property for your stay in Ella and wish we could have stayed longer. I almost did not even come to Ella but so glad I took the 7 hour train right to get here from Kandy. Very amazing place!

This hotel was a little slice of paradise! I’m not one for spending too much time on the hotel grounds but this hotel was an experience in itself. One of the best views of Ella - right between Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak. One of the best sunrise views. The garden is beautiful as well. They offer yoga daily in the garden which was truly a highlight of our time in Ella. Staff was very friendly and accommodating helping us book drivers and activities. It was truly a treat staying here!

This property is situated on a beautiful hill where you can see sunrise just like from Little Adam’s Peak. Rooms are old fashioned train station themed, which adds nice touch. Free yoga session is nice addition. Reception staff is nice but the restaurant staff in the morning breakfast are not very attentive.
Overall our stay was good, but with the price point of view Ella now has another amazing new resort nearby. But if you want to stay in close proximity to Ella town this hotel is best.

I really liked how peaceful this place was with a great view. The English breakfast was not great, but the Sri Lankan breakfast was very good. And the Jacuzzi is nice to have, but it’s not hot. The room was great that I had with a view of Ella rock. But the bathroom doors were kinda like closet doors and made a big noise when you went in and out the people were very nice and helpful and kind.
The location was a bonus cause you could just walk down the hill and you’d be right in the middle of restaurants and shops. Not far from the train station so you could easily go to see the nine arches Bridge, which is very cool.

Amazing breakfast

Beautiful hotel with a look out to Adam peak and Ella rock. Amazing view from our room.

Nilakshi in the front office and Sanjeewa in the restaurant are amazing. Also I should mention Udesh, Manager. Foods were fantastic.
Thank you all and others making our stay at Echo unforgettable. We have stayed some upscale hotels in the Ella area, but Echo is the best. We highly recommend this place.

The location of the property, provided a quiet, calm and very scenic spot and still within walking distance to the very busy town of Ella

If you want something special at Elle , close by the town , but far away to enjoy silence and nature , then is Ekco Elle the place to go . It is not cheap but after your visit you now it is all worth .

Fantastic hotel in a wonderful setting which is a short walk into Ella but well away from the busy town. Also a short walk from the station if you arrive by train.
Staff are very courteous and always helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

The hotel is situated in a lovely area. The staff gave excellent service and were very kind. The chef is an excellent cook. All in all this was a fantastic stay.

Superb place, worth every penny. Suresh and his team made us feel very welcome from the start. Room had incredible views. Enjoyed the cookery class at the hotel and eating the produce!

Beautiful property! We stayed here for one night in January and I wish we could’ve stayed for more. Upon arrival, we got a complimentary upgrade to the room with the jacuzzi and it was so nice to have it - if I were to come back, I would book this room again. The room was a good size, clean, and in great condition. The amenities provided were nice.
They had a pre-fix menu for breakfast along with eggs however you wanted them cooked, and it all tasted wonderful and was served in their upscale dining room with gorgeous views of the mountains. We didn’t have dinner there but wished we could fit it into our schedule since everything else was so nice.
The staff was also very hospitable and friendly. Overall, the whole place was fantastic!

The only suggestion I would make to the hotel is to provide guests with slippers or mop the floors after each stay - we did not have our own slippers so we walked around the room with our bare feet, and the floor was very dusty.

Friendly service, excellent food and comfy hotel with the best views in Ella. The staff were genuinely working to make guests feel at home - one of my best hotel experiences (I travel a lot).

EKHO Ella is simply a wonderful and unique hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are unique and all have stunning views of the Ella gap, and the dining options are very good. I would love to stay again.

We were so warmly welcomed from the second we arrived and were treated with such kindness until the moment we left. The room was absolutely perfect, spacious and immaculate. We had dinner, breakfast and lunch here and all was excellent. The service in the restaurant is outstanding. The view is breathtaking. You wake up and see the sunrise over the mountains from your window. We have traveled all over the world and truly have not received better value for $200 usd anywhere.
