The staff are lovely and this is a nice clean property. On a normal night it would be very comfortable.
Two things to bear in mind - they do not do evening food (not when I stayed on a Thursday anyway). I stayed on a very warm night and had room at the top of the property. In those conditions it was awful, very very hot, I found it impossible to sleep. It was a small room which felt over priced. I would say be careful if you struggle with heat.
It was very conveniently located right by Cadbury World. It was clean and comfortable

Nice big rooms, friendly staff, and yummy breakfast!
Parking lot was very tight and would have loved a/c in the room, but the fan was helpful with the heat
Breakfast was fantastic. Downstairs room was lovely but upstairs needs a lot of TLC. Staff were lovely.
Breakfast was excellent service very friendly and efficient. Location was excellent for our party. Just a 10 min walk.
Room on the small size. Late comers (1 pm), very noisy.
Colazione buona, personale molto accogliente, gentile. Buona scelta per la colazione e inoltre la struttura ha un suo parcheggio.
Le dimensioni della camera matrimoniale, piccola e con il letto attaccato al muro da una parte.
On first arriving, the hotel looked nice and the entrance was very clean and modern. All the staff were lovely. It was great having the small bar so we could have a drink before we went out for dinner. Location of the hotel was great for what we needed.
Room was clean and beds comfortable and there was a fan in the room which was helpful.
We had dinner at the Mahfil restaurant in Kings Norton menus in the hotel and recommended on the hotel info in the room. Food was excellent and later found out it was the same owner as the hotel.
BREAKFAST...We bumped into the owner the night before who said he had a new chef in the kitchen and would welcome feedback. So our feedback is that the chef needs to practice cooking everything for a bit longer. The sausages were not great but would have been better if they had been browned off, same with the bacon and the fried egg. All edible but all needed a few more minutes in the pan. it just did not look appetising. I had the continental option which was fine but the fruit bowl would have been nice to have had fresh fruit cut up in a bowl not a banana, apple and satsuma on a plate! Needed more granola it was such a small amount.
Personally I think the juices, fruit and cereals should have been laid out on the long empty table in the dining room so we could help ourselves There was a lot of unnecessary running back and forth for the two ladies waiting on us. Waiting staff were lovely although seemed a bit stressed with the kitchen! We could here the ladies telling the chef what eggs to cook!
BATHROOM...not good at all. There was a step up into the very small bathroom. Toilet felt like it was going to go through the floor when you sat on it. Shower grout was disgusting and the shower was either boiling or freezing, not good at all.
Good value! Clean, modern bathrooms, friendly staff, nice garden!
The location was perfect for us. Close to the train station and walking distance to my daughter.
The staff were very friendly and the manager went out of his way to buy us a fan for our room as we were there in the unbearable heat.
The ladies who served us in the dining room were lovely.
The only thing was with it being an old building there was no air conditioning.
The staff made my stay extra special. It was my daughter's birthday and they were so helpful and kind - thank you.
I would have liked air con.
Particularly lovely staff - both on reception and in the breakfast room. We were welcomed warmly and staff were friendly and helpful. Ideal position for us - just a couple of roads away from the friends we were visiting. Easy parking. Good breakfast.
A bit of traffic noise at night. One of our rooms was quieter - facing the garden. My room looked lovely but ... there was no bedside table, and the reading light was at the foot of the bed. That ruled out reading in bed!
Brilliant staff, efficient, friendly and knowledgable.
Great level of cleanliness.
Excellent breakfast.
Room was very small with double bed pushed up against a wall. At 70 and 75 years of age, no mean task getting in and out of bed on the wall side.
Mattress uncomfortable, felt springs all night.
Grout between tiles in shower stained from mould.
