For the same price, book elsewhere
Pros:

Location is the saving grace, at the heart of the old fort city. But then again, nothing opens till 9...

Cons:

No air conditioning. The air conditioning in the room was broken and stayed broken for the entire stay.

No coffee for breakfast. The lame excuse for a "Breakfast" starts being served only at 8:45. Before that, you're out of luck. They do not serve everything that is on the set list, unless you remind them of the items, like baked beans (they "forgot") or ham/bacon ("forgot"). The coffee machine was broken when we arrived, and stayed broken for the 3 days. Do yourself a favor, do not pay for included breakfast and get a real breakfast at the nice cafes across the street, that start earlier too. Better selection, better juices.

Extremely narrow spiral stairway to get to the room, very difficult with a child in your arms, with heavy luggage or for older people

Occasional power cuts, no generator.

Central location with great staff. Rooms not equipped with the best facilities. Good breakfast.

Cons:

Not the best facilities and access to the room through a very narrow low height spiral metal staircase. Inaccessible for tall or plus size , old disabled customers and possibly a trap in case of fire or emergency exit.

Ok if you’re looking for a central location and are not fussed about where you sleep.
Pros:

It’s centrally located and the breakfast is excellent. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The shower was hot and powerful.

Cons:

The room clearly has seen better days. The bed is comfortable and the rooms were generally clean but the facilities were old. The bathroom in particular. The ac was noisy and barely worked.

Es war zentral gelegen in der Altstadt.

Es war unglaublich laut im Zimmer aufgrund von laufenden Lüftungen / Klimaanlagen und dem im Haus befindlichen Café.

They charge less, because services are as per the price you pay.
Pros:

Staff is friendly and warm. But it stops there.
If you need help, they cant.
U need hot water, they smile and nod - but there was never any hot water. Many such examples

Très bon emplacement
Pros:

Le propriété se trouve dans le Fort, la chambre très confortable. Il y a un restaurant, le petit déjeuner était bon. Très facile pour se déplacer, c'est 3 min de marche pour admirer le coucher de soleil ainsi que le lever. C'est moins que 10min de la gare de train.

Comfortable stay with very attentive staff
Pros:

The owner and staff were very attentive. The owner could arrange for a very nice car to be brought back to Colombo at the market rate. Because there were fewer tourists on the island, he could also help us with facilitating our beach outings. The breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

You can hear the outside noise from the room, but I guess that's the case in many accommodations inside Fort Galle.

Really good option for this location, i’d stay again.
Pros:

Great location, comfortable room with nice balcony and lots of light. Restaurant downstairs , great fish platter for £10.00 and cafetiere of coffee with bfast great. Teally qyiet for sleeping as downstairs closes at 9.30pm

Au coeur de Galle et parfait pour un séjour en famille
Pros:

Emplacement nickel au coeur de Galle, le personnel est aux petits soins et au service de sa clientèle.
Le pdj est bon, assez varié et préparé à la minute donc frais.
Si besoin de renseignements, le personnel y répond avec grand plaisir et propose même leur service.

Cons:

Manque d'obscurité dans la chambre donc le matin, au lever du soleil; la luminosité pénétrait vite dans la chambre
