Very Beutiful serenity at a Mexicain charm

Oh! Where to start… the rooms were fantastic! Having filtered water out of the faucet is a game changer! The kitchenette was well stocked, we blended our smoothies and made snacks everyday. The breakfast was also a nice treat! They had espressos drinks, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. PLUS, the choice of hot meals (Chilaquiles, omelet, pancakes, huevos rancheros and more). The pool was a nice place to unwind each day with plenty of areas to lounge. It’s an easy five minute walk to the main square and about the same to the beach. Close enough to be in the action far enough a way to sleep quietly and comfortably. This will be the only place we stay in Sayulita when we come back.

The staff is also WONDERFUL.

Todoo me gustó...es un lugar tranquilo y a la vez cerca de todo. Bello lugar, bien mantenido. Todo funcionaba ok. La atención de Martín con cualquier cosa que necesites es impecable, muy preocupado de todo. También los chicos del aseo y las personas de la cocina. El desayuno deli y variado. La presencia de animales (las perras) aportan sensación de familiaridad. Lo recomiendo!!

Perfect location with all the amenities you need to enjoy a short or long stay. The property manager, Martin, was exceptional — he was dedicated and kind, with a great sense of humour. The two dogs were also a wonderful addition!

The rooms were kept extremely clean and tidy. The breakfast was convenient and relaxing.

There was so much I loved. The location was perfect, being near the town centre, but just far and private enough to be quiet. The grounds are absolutely stunning; it was a pleasure to just spend time at the pool or on the patio, taking in the beautiful courtyard, day or night.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind and take so much care in what they do.
The water filtration system at the kitchen and bathroom sinks meant that we never had to think about water, we just filled up our glasses or bottles. Having stayed other places in Mexico on our trip, this felt like an understated luxury.
Everything was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette was well-appointed with everything you’d need and the room had thoughtful closet space that made our lives easier not having to live out of our bags.
Everything here felt like it was chosen with thought and intention. We always remarked upon returning from our day’s adventure how happy we were that we chose this place as it just felt like coming home to a beautiful retreat with everything we needed!

Let me start by saying Martin Gonzales the concierge is the absolute best of the best! He keeps the grounds immaculate, and makes sure all your wants and needs are taken care of. The hotel Casa De La Ballena is a short walk to the center of Sayulita, and offers peace and tranquility. The rooms are very clean, and have everything you will need. i forgot to mention the breakfast was delicious, cappuccino, OJ, Mexican scrambled eggs, or hotcakes all made from scratch. I cant recommend this place enough. thank you Martin...We love you!!!

Casa de la Ballena is a wonderful oasis in Sayulita. Only a 10min walk from the main beach, yet a world away -- no outside noise, dust, or mosquitos! The pool and lounge chairs in the central courtyard are well maintained, and beach towels and blankets are provided at no extra charge -- nice! The rooms are modern with small kitchenettes -- perfect if you like to make the occasional meal and stay indoors for dinner. The hotel Manager, Martin, and his team were friendly and happy to accommodate early arrival or late departure. We can't recommend this place enough!
