Pros:

Die Unterkunft sieht aus, wie auf den Bildern. Wir haben das Hotel geliebt, dass Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und vorallem Kinderfreundlich.
Wir hatten immer einen Platz zum Liegen, am Pool und Strand. Der Strand ist sauber und weitläufig. Wir waren Ende April dort, es war sehr ruhig und hatte weniger Gäste. Aufgrund der Nebensaison.
Das Sushi Restaurant auf dem Dach ist fantastisch;) beste Sushi gewesen!!!!!!!!
Beim frühstück hatte man eine grosse, gute Auswahl. Da essen war etwas fad, dass war allerdings überall in srilanka so, wo es Western essen gab.

Die Badezimmer haben modrig gerochen.

Lovely hotel and and amazing staff!!!
Pros:

Location was great!. Beenu was amazing and sorted everything out for us in a timely and efficient manner! All staff were very polite.

Cons:

Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to swim in the ocean. Also, the lower floor rooms had some mosquitoes but the above floor rooms were great!

The best hotel in Hikkaduwa
Pros:

Absolutely the best hotel experience in Hikkaduwa. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional from the moment we arrived. The service was exceptional — the staff helped carry our luggage, opened and closed the car doors for us, and paid attention to every little detail that made our stay feel truly luxurious.

We were also pleasantly surprised with complimentary wine and a lovely tea gift set, which was such a thoughtful touch.

During our stay, we tried dinner at both restaurants — the rooftop restaurant and the downstairs restaurant. The rooftop had breathtaking ocean views, delicious cocktails, and a beautiful atmosphere. The Japanese food was okay tho, but the overall experience and scenery were unforgettable.

The beachfront view is stunning, and if you are visiting Hikkaduwa, do not miss the chance to stay here. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was good ok though adding an English breakfast option in the future would make it even more perfect.

Incredible views!
Pros:

The Riff Hikkaduwa is a lovely boutique hotel set right on the beautiful beachfront of Hikkaduwa. The surrounding area is fairly quiet, with limited shops nearby, which adds to its relaxed atmosphere. It’s approximately a 30-minute drive to Galle for those wanting to explore more.

The property itself is small, allowing for a more personalised and attentive level of service. The rooms are stunning—modern in design while still maintaining a laid-back beach aesthetic—and all offer ocean views.

We enjoyed dinner on our balcony on the first night, which was a highlight. Breakfast is served à la carte with an extensive selection—far more than we could possibly try in one sitting. Compared to other places we stayed, food and beverages here were the most expensive, as were spa treatments like manicures and pedicures. That said, the food quality was excellent, and the spa staff were wonderful.

There are plenty of banana lounges along the beach, although poolside seating is limited, with only about eight chairs available due to space constraints.

Pros:

The Riff was absolutely amazing! Felt like luxury for a reasonable price tag. Staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating. Food was delicious and loved the convenience of having a restaurant and bar on the rooftop. Walking distance from the turtle beach. Would highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely phenomenal
Pros:

We came with friends for lunch and had such a lovely experience. The food was absolutely amazing and everything was so delicious. The staff were fantastic, and a special thank you to Benisha for making our time there even more wonderful with her warm and attentive service.

We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back again!
