Pros:

Great staff, friendly and helpful. The rooms overlooking the sea are amazing, the view is worth the money. Just next to a wide beach, far from the city center, nice and calm. Lots of sunbeds on the beach + there is a nice pool with a great view. Excellent breakfasts a la carte, everything fresh and tasty.

Cons:

I stayed in 2 different rooms: the room on the ground floor was spacious with a great bathtub, but there was a bit of a smell from the bathroom and was located just next to the pool and dining area, which meant no view. Room on the 3rd floor had a spectacular view, however, as it was connected to a room next doors with those internal doors (locked when I was there), it could be a bit loud at times.

5 star experience with kind and professional staff
Pros:

We had an exceptional stay at Riff Hikkaduwa. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly five-star. Attentive, warm, and incredibly professional without ever feeling intrusive.

What really stood out was the team’s genuine commitment to guest comfort. We had a late flight, and despite checking out earlier in the day, they allowed us to continue using the hotel’s facilities. Being able to enjoy the pool and freshen up before heading to the airport made a world of difference and showed a level of hospitality that goes well beyond expectations.

Riff delivers not only a stunning property and beautiful beachfront setting, but also a level of personalised service that is rare to find. Every detail felt considered and seamless.

We will certainly return and highly recommend Riff Hikkaduwa to anyone looking for a luxury experience in Sri Lanka. Thanks for a great time.

Relaxen am Strand
Pros:

Es waren herrlich 4 Tage im Riff Hikkaduwa. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist besser als viele andere 5-Sterne-Hotels in Sri Lanka an der Süd-und Ostküste. Die Lage ist super. Man kann fußläufig viele lokale Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten erreichen. Trotz Hochsaison hat man immer eine Liege am Strand bekommen.
Die Sonnenuntergänge vom Balkon oder der Rooftopbar sind einmalig.

An amazing hotel
Pros:

We loved this hotel. We were very kindly upgraded as it was our honeymoon - the room and interiors were beautiful and very tastefully designed. The views of the ocean were incredible.

The staff are incredibly lovely here. The food is very good. The rooftop bar/restaurant is amazing to catch the sunset.

Perfectly placed on the beach with the sea and a gorgeous pool !

Pros:

The location of the hotel was superb - lovely views. The food choices and service were excellent every day. We especially liked the rooftop restaurant. We were at the hotel near christmas and it felt very festive - music and decorations.

Cons:

It was a shame we could not swim in sea directly in front of hotel. The Spa facilities were very basic.

Incredible!
Pros:

Everything!
The staff were all incredible & made us feel so welcome for the whole 2 week stay, they made it really special.
The food from breakfast, lunch and dinner, including at the restaurant on the roof was amazing.
Everywhere was really clean & well maintained.
The location was great, very nice beach area with amazing sunsets!
We loved it & didn’t want to leave!

Superbe séjour. Rien à redire, le personnel au petit soin sans être oppressant, la nourriture, l’aménagement de la plage, la beauté de la vue des chambres, et leur propreté au top. Du surf à gogo. Gorgeous hotel on a beautiful beach
Pros:

Stunning property, styling was simple & elegant throughout-our room, terrace & especially bathroom were large & stylish. Food was amazing-breakfast was made to order & we had dinner twice there & both times was fresh, delicious & reasonably priced. There were plentiful, comfortable sun loungers on the beach & staff brought cold, filtered water regularly.
