Ok hotel
Pros:

The hotel location was ok as not far from the sports arena we needed. Restaurant on site but unfortunately the breakfast did leave much to be desired. It was boiled eggs, french bread, hot drink, youghurt, hot drink and squash every mirning. The pastries were not fresh 'daily' so we gave up on breakfast on day two. Dinner is a set menu with not much variation so again we decided to eat elsewhere. The cleanliness of the dining room was nit great, condiments containers were sticky and dirty unfortunately.
No running water on day two and their reservoir was empty! This was a big problem!!
The ladies at reception were however very helpful and a delight to chat with.

Pros:

The location suited our purpose of travel. But not much to do at the hotel or around. For me the best part were the two ladies at reception who were very friendly and accomdating.
Breakfast needs a big improvement, it consisted of hot drinks, boiled eggs, yoghurt and pastries EVERY day. No variation, so for a 5 day stay we'd had enough by day 2. The restaurant could do with some cleaning too, the salt and pepper pots and condiments bottles were all sticky and dirty.

Pros:

They advertised wifi, there is none. We rented 6 rooms, everyone had items stolen from watch to toiletries . Front desk pressured me to pay for 2 days even though I supplied them with Expedia receipts. They told me Expedia did not pay them and that I should pay them and get reimbursed by Expoedia.

BEWARE!!!!
Pros:

We recently stayed at Hotel Plaza Alger. We booked 6 rooms for 5 nights. We are a Women's Canadian national sports team. The hotel is no where near as advertised.

1. No wifi! from the first day (21st) they said there would be wifi repaired in an hour or two. This story continued until out departure. THERE WAS NEVER ANY EFFORT MADE TO REPAIIR IT.

2. from the 21-24 the front desk repeatedly asked me to pay for the 4 of the rooms as Expedia only ever paid them for 2 rooms. I supplied receipts but the pressure kept coming. I told them when there was wifi I could contact you to discuss the matter. Eventually they realized I wasn't giving them a second payment so they stopped.

3. in 5 of the 6 rooms there was theft of toiletries. (Eye Liner, Razors, Toothpaste, deodorant were all stolen)

4. The prices in the restaurant fluctuated daily. The first day when it was only girls it was 2500, with men there it went to 2000, Algerians paid significantly less. They tried on 3 occasions they tried to over charge us.

5. Sexual harassment! One of my athletes was cornered and the hotel employee, propositioned her and asked they get married.

6. Someone went into a vacant room across the courtyard and called the girls room. He asked her to look out the window and spoke to her while looking at them and proceeded to tell her how beautiful she was. This room was vacant, immediately after the call this person left the room and never returned. We believe it was a hotel employee as no one else would have known what room the girls were in, how to contact them and gain access to the exact room across the courtyard from them.
