Great set up, easy to get in, brilliant location.
It’s really quite loud by the trains.
The way to do self-check in was easy. I hadn’t realised the rooms were shipping containers at first as it’s so cleverly done.
Liked the wine bar attached -staff were great there. Food and wine were great too x
Would have liked chain on door - I wasn’t sure if door was locked at night and was nervous to go to sleep at first. I did sleep well though and the blind was great.
I like how it is warm when you enter your room and I like the interior design that matched the photos. there are things like microwave and a fridge is needed incase of food. blinds for full privacy.
though the bar is open it would’ve been nice if theres a breakfast menu. there was a time i did not know how to switch off the lights in the bathroom area as i ended up using the the whole room switch in order to switch it off.
Zona centrale, possibile raggiungere facilmente i luoghi d’interesse maggiori, molto accogliente e confortevole.
We really liked this stay, the location was fantastic checkin and out was so easy, staff were lovely.
Location and price
1st room flooded second no blinds in central London on a busy street no staff on site to sort issues.
Very cosy stay
Room shakes due to trainlines but would stay again. Close to local amentities, no fuss.
The location
The fire alarm going of 3 times with no help from stowaway
Good location, Decent price
Everything else. Once night, the door to my room was left open by the cleaning staff & the lights in my room didn't turn on. When I called the property for help, they didn't provide any help & asked me to try again in the morning. I had to change the rooms in the morning & missed my meetings as a result. After changing my rooms, the code my room didn't work. So when I came back from a long day, I had to stand outside in the cold for 35 minutes at 11pm while the staff told me the correct code for my new room. I had just moved from Dublin with all my stuff & this was a very bad experience for the first week. The property didn't even care to offer any refund for this inconvenience & Booking.com only refunded GBP 17 for a week long stay of GBP 700.
Also, the hotel is next to the railway tracks & it is almost impossible to sleep, even with earplugs.
What intrigued me about this place is that it's a block of shipping containers. It really is ingenius & very well done. It's five stories high, with a meeting area, bar etc on the ground floor. I arrived post-hours so didn't get to enjoy this bit, but it looked very smart. You then go through a door at the back & it takes you up some steps to the lines of five shipping containers on each floor. Entry is via key code (no staff on site, but v helpful and responsive by message). The apartment itself is really nice - much roomier than you imagine & really well done. The fittings are really good quality, it has been very thoughtfully laid out & some really nice touches - the bed sheets are really nice cotton for example. Whoever did this was inspired - I spent most of the evening sending images to my friends saying "guess where I'm staying?" Try it - if for no other reason, just for the experience. Great VFM too.
You'll have seen from other reviews you do get the rumble from Waterloo. I didn't think it was that noisy, but if you're a sensitive sleeper it may be an issue. The water drained from the sink a little slow, too, but you'd forgive that, cos they got so many other things right.
