Unter diesen Umständen ist das Hotel momentan leider nicht zu empfehlen.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist für Stadtbesichtigung sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und auch mit regionalen Spezialitäten.
Das Zimmer war in Ordnung entspricht aber nicht einem 4 Sterne Hotel.

Cons:

Gefallen hat uns überhaupt nicht, das weder Booking Com noch das Hotel im Vorfeld der Buchung auf die laufenden Umbau und Renovierungsarbeiten hingewiesen hat. Das erwarte ich als Kunde und möchte nicht erst beim Einchecken vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt werden!!
Wenn ich vollen Preis zahlen muss erwarte ich zu Recht auch vollständige Leistungen.
Das hat weder das Hotel noch Booking Com geliefert!

Bei Buchung auf Gebäude achten - Nebengebäude nicht empfehlenswert.
Cons:

Der mehrfach in den Kommentaren angesprochene Geruch im Nebengebäude im Roten Turm ist eine Zumutung.
Bei Ankunft war im, ansonsten offenbar gereinigten, Zimmer eine benutzte Tasse. Das zeugt nicht unbedingt von einer planvollen Ausführung der Reinigung. Was wurde sonst noch vergessen?
Zimmer witterungsbedingt warm und stickig. Klimaanlage war nicht versprochen, aber zumindest ein Lüfter wäre sinnvoll gewesen, zumal nur kleine Fenster vorhanden und ein Luftaustausch über Flur nicht möglich (s.o. Geruch).
Insgesamt ist der Preis der zentrale Lage geschuldet, nicht der Ausstattung.
(Kommentar bezieht sich auf Nebengebäude. Zimmer im Hauptgebäude können anders sein)

STELLAR staff, fabulous breakfast, fantastic stay!
Pros:

The location is perfect for historic Erfurt. The hotel was experiencing construction but the lobby, restaurant and our rooms were clean and cozy.

Cons:

The “balcony” looked into a garbage bin and a parking lot. Next time I’ll choose the other side without the balcony.

Wir kommen wieder
Pros:

Alle Mitarbeiter/innen waren sehr Freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Trotz Umbauarbeiten war es ruhig und wir haben davon nichts mitbekommen.
Es gab Getränke im Eingangsbereich, Kaffee und Säfte.

Cons:

Es war sehr warm trotz Klimaanlage.
Das Wetter war aussergwöhnlich heiß,
die Fenster und Gardinen sind gut und konnten einiges ausgleichen.

Ordentliches Hotel mit etwas Luft nach oben.
Pros:

Die Lage an der Krämerbrücke ist sehr gut und das Frühstück war auch super.

Cons:

Sehr kleines Bad mit kleiner Dusche und die Ausfahrt der Tiefgarage ist für etwas größere Autos ungeeignet.
